Do you try to be this uninformed.

Let me just quote the statute for Knoxville.

ARTICLE III. OFFENSES AGAINST THE PUBLIC PEACE

Sec. 19-61. Disorderly conduct.
(a) A person commits an offense who, in a public place and with intent to cause public annoyance or alarm:
(1) Engages in fighting or in violent or threatening behavior;
(2) Refuses to obey an official order to disperse issued to maintain public safety in dangerous proximity to a fire, hazard or other emergency; or
(3) Creates a hazardous or physically offensive condition by any act that serves no legitimate purpose.
A person also violates this section who makes unreasonable noise which prevents others from carrying on lawful activities.
(Code 1962, §§ 28-300, 28-305)

Way to go, Mr. cum laude JD. :D

Was there a fire at the RockyTop Market??? No.

When is employment terminated? Is amatuer status lost? Would this essentially make this a club team?
Why would amateur status matter? The players would be the same as physical plant workers and administrative staff. Pure employees.

Of course not. But OldVol thinks it's hazardous or physically offensive to even consider questioning authority.

That has nothing to do with mandatory obedience to anything an officer says. That touches on situations where a danger is at hand. It, A) Doesn't mantion police officers, and B) Doesn't remotely have anything to do with the type of situations we've been discussing.

Well, the code is clear.

You really will argue with legal code.

So, there's no use in further discourse with you.

Ever heard of being too dumb to read the signs.

A person commits an offense who, in a public place and with intent to cause public annoyance or alarm:

I think you're the only person who I've ever heard argue that disobeying a policeman's direct order by mouthing off is not considered disorderly conduct.

I'm done.

If I were to say White is White you'd argue that it's Black.

A waste of my time and it's pretty obvious to most.

It was him who said it was also immoral to disobey the Laws of the Land, regardless of how absurd.

First, this is a City Ordinance, not a state statute you cite. Second, as I said so accurately in my earlier post, there is absolutely no mention of police officers or an absolute prohibition on disobedience.

The General Sessions Judge in Union County has on a myriad of occasions ruled that the disorderly conduct statute is unconstitutional and throws those cases out as quckly as they come into the courtroom. So, I'm not the only one who thinks there's no duty to bow and snivel before any goof in a badge.

Telling an officer where to deposit their flashlight does not evidence an intent to cause public annoyance or alarm, it evidences an intent to put overefficious stormtroopers in their place and remind them they work for the public, not the other way around.

Good to be missed.

How're the Gators going to be?

I'll take another 9-3 season with the tough schedule: Over a four-week stretch, the Gators play Alabama (10-2 in 2005), LSU (11-2), Auburn (9-3) and Georgia (10-3)..this coming two weeks after playing at UT.

No comment on the bulletin board material?

What gives with Urban, is he trying to get in Fulmer's head, ala Spurier?
