I look at it like this. The coaches and admin in the UTAD should be like parental figures to these athletes. Certainly not that close, but a similar type of relationship. And what I see here is what I see in a ton of bad parenting. Mistaking enabling with love and instruction. There is no educating happening here. It is yes, do whatever feels good kids. Support a marxist racist movement? Great job! Just keep the gravy train rolling, coaches have 6 and 7 figure salaries to protect
I totally agree. The students are sent to college to learn not only from professors, but also from administration, coaches, and mentors. This should be a teachable moment to educate the students about the marxist agenda, what is happening in America, and what the BLM truly stands for.
But, the professors, administration, coaches and mentors are missing the opportunity and responsibility that they have been given to educate our future adults and leaders the true facts of this agenda. They are either in agreement with this agenda, or intimidated and afraid for their job and career. Either way, they all disappoint me.
We really saw it coming with coach Gundy at Oklahoma State. He was literally made to beg to keep his job, and then take a million dollar year cut, best I remember it cost him $5 million for wearing a conservative t-shirt while on his own personal vacation time. If I was him I would leave that university first chance I could get another job. But, the problem is the next university would treat him just as bad or worse the first time he crossed that line that is set by the BLM type groups. College sports is going to fall to the same pits as pro sports.
I have to believe coach Pruitt is smarter than this, but I understand he is in that same trap as Gundy.
But, I'm sure $3/$4 million per year makes it easier to look at yourself in the mirror everyday.
