The thread title Marxist Black Lives Matter. Do black lives matter? Yes. Is the organization somewhat Marxist????

I work to respect all people unless they show they do not deserve respect. I don't think I have shown you any disrespect. I have disagreed with you.

Do they still have the mechanical horses? I do have some real horses although they are not that high. The Quarter horse breed tends to be a little shorter. The ones I have are somewhere around 15 hands more or less.

It's been my experience that the people who throw out the "high horse" retort are generally just bemoaning that their lack of stature has been exposed.

Graceland is all shook up.

Elvis Presley’s estate was vandalized with “Black Lives Matter” and “Defund the Police” graffiti overnight into Tuesday.

The protest slogans were found spray-painted in black and orange on the stone wall surrounding the King’s mansion, a signature Memphis landmark and major tourist draw, local newspaper The Commercial Appeal reported.

The graffiti covered up many of the hundreds of tributes to the music icon handwritten by fans on the wall over the years.

Another Memphis landmark, historic concert venue The Levitt Shell, was defaced with similar graffiti, including “Eat the Rich” and “Defund MPD [Memphis Police Department].”

The open-air amphitheater in Overton Park was where Elvis gave his first paid concert on July 30, 1954.

The city burning is planned wealth redistribution. It will be county and state taxes that rebuild these cities even better than they were. Maybe even federal.

So, allow leftist leadership to turn the cities into crap-holes after decades of failed policy, leftist leadership allows leftist mobs to burn crap-hole cities down, redistribute wealth from outside of liberal crap-holes for new start on failing policy in gleaming new cities.

The only fortunate thing about Virginia is we have independent cities, so when they inevitably sh*t the bed with their leftist policies people that matter move five miles away into the county and the city gets zilch out of them.

So you think state and city taxes won't be used to rebuild the burned cities? I expect tax hikes in counties and states to rebuild the cities.

State taxes here, possibly. But the city can't tax residents of the county, and once people leave the city they almost always end up not spending money in the city, too.

I have no thought that the city would levy taxes on the county, of course. That's not the same as saying that county taxes will be used to help rebuild the cities.

But I really don't think they will be, unless via the state (which is a separate tax collection system) or if the local county boards vote to give money directly to the cities (they'd be rightfully and literally crucified). Here, there isn't really a mechanism for that type of "support" to happen, to my knowledge. Even if there was, most of the county boards and governments are openly hostile to the cities.
