I honestly am not feeling very confident that we can step back from the ledge here as it pertains to race relations in the US. Seeing a group of 20 black people come to the scene without any knowledge of what was going on and automatically begin yelling at the police once they realize the woman is black makes it clear that this isn't about right and wrong. This is "our team vs. your team" type blind loyalty based on skin color. By these current societal race rules of engagement, the proper number of black people allowed to be arrested for committing crimes without riots breaking out is zero. It just does not seem like there is an answer to this conundrum.
