Hold up let’s take this one bite at a time so we don’t get it all jumbled up together. The question I laid out specifically talks about deep red states , deep red urban cities , with deep red politicians . That means the majority of voters ( the ones that control that whole system are Republicans. We can flip that to deep blue which would mean the majority of voters are Democrats . My question is based on a state and local level because those are the ones actually in control of the system not the Feds . So I ask again , why does the majority keep voting into office the very ones that are oppressing them ?

Look at the demographics of those states. It’s really that simple.
Republicans on whole are the minority in this country.

Republicans are supposed to be the 'minority' yet also responsible for the 'majority' instituting a 'system of racism'.

Look to the individual state. Republicans did well in places that lack diversity. Racial oppression goes deeper than politics though. Black people are 12% of the country now. It’s easy to turn your back on issues that do not effect you.
