Stupid, and does nothing but enflame the matter more so than it already has been. Slavery is the past. We need to leave it there and stop trying to drag it into the present. It has nothing to do with whether people today succeed or fail. While I believe racism still exists, and needs to be addressed, I do not believe it keeps anyone from finding success. I don't care what the color of your skin is, hard work and perseverance can lead you to success. People need to stop looking for reasons outside themselves for failure. It's called life.

And athletes, actors, and other such celebrities need to check themselves when talking about how hard and unfair life is. Living in big mansions, driving cars that cost more than some houses, living in luxury...all for playing a sport, or for acting in movies, or in some cases for just being inexplicably famous. Don't lecture on how hard life is when you are not living a hard life.

Reality is a hard place to live. Some people suck. Don't let sucky people hold you back. The old cliché "life isn't fair" exists for a reason. Never lose sight that you can choose the type of person you want to be. You may not find the success you want, may not achieve all the dreams that you dream, but how you react, how you act, all of that is on you. You choose to be bitter and miserable or you choose to take what you get and make the most of it. Only you can define your character.

I know that given the current circumstances and narratives it's easy to feel discouraged and down but don't. This country isn't perfect...never has been nor will it ever be. Even with its flaws it's still the best and most powerful nation the world has ever known. There are far more people in this country that love and respect one another than those who hold prejudices. There are entities at work that want us as a society to be devided and vulnerable. Don't let them.

I know, I know, I know. Paying for it dearly every day. I said from the beginning it’s an indictment of my poor parenting skills. The shame is truly almost too much to bear for any man. But I did write her out of my will!! 😁👍🏻

I can see a scenario where some people (who you wouldn't normally think would be for it) would be for some reparations. If you give people money that haven't earned it, it has no real value to them so they more willingly spend it. The opportunist will only get richer. For one, I'm going to every MLK Jr. Blvd and opening a Rent-A-Wheel store. Rent for the building will be cheap...rent for the wheels will not be cheap... and the profits will be huge! Gotta keep the hooptie tight!
