There seems to be a personality commonality with coaches that have programs that are consistently top performers. Off the top of my head; John Calipari, Little Nicky Sabin, Bill Belichick to name a few.

Calipari doesn't deserve to be listed with those two other coaches. As much as we all hate Saban he's arguably the GOAT with 7 national championships. Belichick has won 6 which is even harder to do imo than what Saban has done. I believe about 1/3 of the NFL teams haven't even won one and he's won SIX!

Calipari on the other hand has won 1 championship and has constantly underachieved while always having some of the most talented teams.

I initially thought your post was going a different direction, but I ended up still agreeing with it in the direction you took it.

I thought you were going in the direction of their personalities, in which Cal doesn't belong listed with those other two guys, either.

Cal, as much as we don't care for him because he is UK's coach, is engaging, personable, friendly, etc. Saban and Belichick are the complete opposite, which makes people like them even less.

Yeah I didn't think about it in that aspect. Cal is a Bruce Pearl "snake oil salesman" type. Flamboyant and all about the spotlight.

The true GOATS... Coach K, Saban, Belichick, and even Phil & Pop are/were about winning and don't/didn't really care about the spotlight imo. None of them are flashy, most if not all are monotone and boring. A couple might even look homeless lmao.

I think TB12 has a lot to do with Belichick’s wins.

He certainly engaged Holly Rowe although it appeared she didn’t view the experience as personable and friendly? Unwelcomed and creepy might be better descriptions.

It's baseball season! And they still have to get beat by us in Football in the fall, what's he worried about basketball for? That's weird!

That headline being true has always been by dying wish. Farewell, you all. My time has come, I assume. Know that I’m happy and at peace after seeing UK bball in complete disarray .

If paying college basketball players was anything like operating a casino gaming business (which it may be) Kentucky is now the Atlantic City of the casino world while everybody else in the conference is gaming in Las Vegas, Macao, Monte Carlo, even pulling a few levers and turning a few cards down at the Hard Rock.

Could not happen to a better program, with Ticket Mitch powerless to do anything about it.

Including his time with the browns?
Yes.

In his five seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Belichick went 36-44 (. 450), with his only postseason appearance coming in 1994. In games he's coached the Patriots without Brady over his 23 seasons in New England, Belichick has gone 36-38
