Matt Jones says UK basketball in "complete disarray"

Couldn't happen to a more deserving fan base and coach. Enjoy!

John Calipari's Kentucky program in 'complete disarray' (nypost.com)

Hearing Matt Jones, the sniveling little twerp who went on national TV proclaiming Tennessee football would never again be great, clench up over his precious Wildcats imploding couldn't be better music to my ears.

Now don't misunderstand me. I have Kentucky friends. To the extent it doesn't harm Tennessee basketball, I wish them the best.

But Matt Jones? He's a sports radio hot take buffoon. I hope he suffers. I hope he stews in that misery. I hope he gets sealed up in a plastic bag full of anguish and dropped in a sous vide machine of pain for the rest of time. Twerp.

Reported for having Kentucky friends and for wishing the best for their team

And now UK freshman PF/C Aaron Bradshaw has broken his foot and could miss the start of the regular season.

Well they signed 2 more freshman and got Reeves back who was arguably their best scorer from last year. They also are rumored to be involved with some West Virginia players which could make there roster very interesting

UK was always going to come thru smelling like a rose. Even if all they had was that freshman class and the two returning players, they were more talented than 95% of D1 teams. Talent won’t be an issue. Can Cal harness the talent into a team is the question. Reeves probably helps in that regard with his experience and talent. The recent freshmen additions don’t really move the needle.

UK had to push for Reeves return, I get it, but I also wonder ultimately how that plays out…he’s not some crazy talented guy, and part of his hesitancy to return was supposedly wanting more/guaranteed minutes. We saw some locker room and team issues with Oscar last year and I can’t help but wonder if similar happens with Reeves if his play isn’t warranting the minutes he thinks he was assured. Again I get it, but part of me wonders if UK would’ve been better off without him and adding another young piece or two.

I don't think they were finding anyone with his combination of talent and experience. He averaged 28 mpg last season. I don't think he was wanting more minutes so much as he wanted some assurances that he wasn't going to automatically be dropped down the depth chart in favor of a group if freshmen that hadn't earned their stripes, yet. Given Cal's recruiting trends, that isn't exactly an unfounded concern, either.

It’s just a slippery slope imo, like I said I get why they did and had to do it, but much like Oscar last year I can see it going poor.

Very true, I was just hoping they would be stuck with no veterans but it looks like they will walk away with a couple. Slater already predicts that Tre Mitchel from WV will end up at Kentucky and as we know, Slater rarely misses.

Yeah I didn't think about it in that aspect. Cal is a Bruce Pearl "snake oil salesman" type. Flamboyant and all about the spotlight.

The true GOATS... Coach K, Saban, Belichick, and even Phil & Pop are/were about winning and don't/didn't really care about the spotlight imo. None of them are flashy, most if not all are monotone and boring. A couple might even look homeless lmao.
LMAO you’re not wrong, I mean, I’d give either one of these guys some spare change, if I saw them on the street...

Tre Mitchel predicted to KY before he enters the portal. But no tampering, of course.

The Kentucky center (Tshiebwe) is now the first player to ever win the prestigious Naismith College Player of the Year award and go undrafted.

What was the knock on OT?

Is he just not cut out for the NBA game?

I bet the UK fans were whining like no other on the talent OT has that the NBA missed out on, LOL!
