Luke was handcuffed from the beginning, much like Shula at Bama years ago, but did a decent job with the hand he was dealt, again like Shula.

I dont know many coaches that want to jump into the Ole Miss or Arkansas dumpster fire . . .

I'm shocked that Matt Luke was fired. I figured he would be around until December 2020.

Just because you are on both teams big board doesn’t mean that both teams have recruiting success with the same players. Some guys prefer one school over the other for numerous reasons. This opens up a door to get back in with good pieces already verbally committed or grad transfers from each school.

I was just saying both schools will go after the same coaching candidates. But I’m sure it could help our recruiting.

Sorry I misunderstood what you were talking about. I could care less who they choose to hire as a coach. In my opinion one of them would be wise to go close Norvell.

I anticipated the Rebels would have been staring at some 2-10 or 3-9 seasons right down the barrel and they certainly exceeded that.

I mean I don’t think Matt Luke is going to win titles but Ole Miss isn’t going to win titles anyways. He’s made them respectable when it could have gotten really bad.
