Find me a time period where so many officers from 0-6 to 0-8 being forced to retire because they were having affairs with enlisted soldiers wives, sexually assaulting E-4s, misusing their authority, misusing government funds, watching on on government computers raping female staff members, going drunken benders in foreign countries, failing to provide adequate force protection measures to protect U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan and so on. 2009-2014 was just a bad period to for any high ranking officer to be acting out. I almost forgot about the
Fat Leonard scandal which resulted in 60 admirals alone resigning.

I forgot that Mattis was the only thing in the way of Erik Prince and his get rich quick scheme to become viceroy of Afghanistan.

It was a purge like no other before. So Obama get his dirt diggers to find the skeletons as blackmail. It’s true.

Why shouldn't we withdraw from Syria or Afghanistan? Syrian Kurds are 10% of the Syrian population. These both seem like losing propositions to me.

I realize Mattis is a man to be respected. But he's also a career military man. I imagine a more hands off American military is not aligned with his stance.
