Kemba Walker has brought them back from the Dead. 25 points in the second half, and getting ready to give them the lead on these FT's. What a change of momentum, as this game was all but over a few minutes ago.

It was a horrible call. Actually, I don't mind that call in the first half, but not at this point in the game. It was crucial.

This game is Exhibit A as to why it's dangerous to bet a midmajor against a traditional power in the regular season. You can almost count on some WWE quality officiating if the game is close.

Calls seemed to go UCONN's way in the closing minutes, extremely late call on a blocked shot, weak touch foul away from the basket that puts someone on the line, and then an illegal pick that has nothing to do with the play in the final minute. Sucks for WSU and ruined the finish.

Glad UCONN won though.

Ball game. I missed the offensive foul, someone came to the desk at work. What happened?
Extremely weak illegal pick on WSU at the minute mark down 1.

They called a moving screen and fouled out Wichita's center. However, the replay showed (3 times) that he didn't move an inch. He raised his elbows a little, but it did not warrant that call at that point in the game. Even Jimmy D disagreed.

Yep. I stayed away from all the mid-majors today except this one, because I needed to fill out the 5 game parlay. I took the 3 and rolled with it. Such is life.

Tip time for OU/UK, 13 minutes.

Oh boy, Dykes has found another saying to add to his list. "He gets it."

On a side note, Jim Capel is out of his element.

And, were off....

I know it's really early in the season, but I think this years KY team may end up better than last years was. The man reason is they seem more like a TEAM and play as TEAM this year. I may be wrong, JMO

The difference you are seeing is that this team is built to play the DDM, and therefore are actually running an offense. last year we were so stacked down low, we tried to run everything through the post, so at times we were just standing around trying to get the ball down low. When that failed, we just jacked up some three's or waited for Wall/Bledsoe to bail us out with a drive.

This team can shoot it very well, and everyone on the floor can break their man down on the dribble. They are just much more fluid.

I said it before, I'll say it again. That Harris/Jones matchup is going to be something else. The world will have to stop.
