only players I pay attention to in recruiting are current year players. Too much can change from year to year.

Well you still need to keep good relationships if he signs with USCe and say they go 4-8 next year which could happen. Then you will see a bunch of portal.then players have buyer’s remorse and say to their self you know UT treated me great and I should have went with my first choice. You don’t want to diss anyone.

I think this has everything to do with getting whipped by his home state school. I have been consistent in saying how damaging that loss was in so many ways.

I agree. We still talk about the 2001 LSU loss that kept us out of the National Championship. This loss was worse.

Was it? LSU was out their starting QB and RB at some point in the game (iirc). We had already whooped that LSU team when they were at full strength. We had the SEC for the taking, and a trip to the natty on the line. I’d say that one was worse. Jmo.

Even when south Carolina was "good" they went really that good.

They basically had several seasons like we have had this year when Spurrier was coach in the 2010-2012 time period. Other than that they went 10-2 in 1984 and won the ACC in 1969. That's pretty much it.

Yep, we beat Sabans LSU team easily early in the year and he thought there was no way they could win the SECC that's why he went for it on 4th down at his own 30 in the 1st quarter and didn't get it. He said Ms Terri his wife said all the years I've watched that was the dumbest coaching move you ever made, it just looked desperate. Then Rohan got hurt Vols thought we got this, and 2nd team QB Mauck comes in and wins MVP. There was a rumor Rohan's mother a Voodoo princess, after the injury put a curse on a UT Vol doll at half time as the legend goes. Things have been bad since with a few decent years sprinkled in 07, 15, 16 & 22.

Always hard to beat a team twice in the same year. UGA was very glad we didn't make the playoffs!

Or Cam Seldon, or Nathan Leacock.
Not Echols or Beasley for 2024 either.

It kept us out of the playoffs and ended our QB season. Beyond that, is just people being dramatic...

The kid who is a WR literally decommitted the day a UT WR won the Biletnikoff award lol. The highest award a kid can receive for his position....

That's stupid on so many levels...

Dude has another year to make a decision. I’m not particularly worried about one wr with this offense. We will land players and they will be successful in this offense. If Bennett wants to be part of it great. If not best of luck.
