And you are attempting to talk to me about the Civil War?
Don't you have a cracker jack to press or something?
:hi:
That would have been an easy sell at the democrat convention, considering the bumper sticker they have all been sold!So here is what I am reading in this thread....
- If you don't buy into every single thing republicans are saying or find a single good thing about Obama then you are labled a neo-socialist and closet Obama supporter.
No, there is plenty wrong with the repub party right now but those things are not the result of McCain's actions as so many on the left like to claim.
- Palin represents a better pick on foreign policy and executive experience than both Romney and Guilani. The political advantage of this person's gender is a bonus...she was qualified from the outset.
Never said she was more qualified than Romney or Guilani, besides qualification is not a position McCain needs to bolster, Obama does however.
- Obama's education at Colombia and Harvard pale in comparison to McCain's bottom finish at the Naval Academy and Palin's degree from Idaho. What really matters is her stint as mayor and govenor and McCain's established 27 years in the senate.
Yes McCains 27 years of public service, foreign relations experience, bipartisan record matter much more than what degree from where.
- Executive experience only matters for VP's.
No but experience can also come from serving as many years as McCain has.
- Guns and oil are "good enough" for a VP's record.
Who has that record, neither Biden nor Palin can be summed up in that neat little package no matter how much you try to paint it that way.
- McCain and Palin's....(gasp!)....flip-flop, on immigration and bridges do not matter.
Politicians flip flop, always have always will, please don't tell me you believe Obama to be innocent of this as well?
- Biden's National Security credentials on the foreign relations committe is at least as good as Palin credentials.
I would say so but lets not forget who is on the top of the ticket!
- Experience trumps all arguments unless we are talking about the VP pick. Then it is who is more of an outsider.
No, but dems are claiming lack of being an insider (false in Obama's case anyway) was a good thing until Palin was picked and then it became an issue for
- The republican party has gone spend crazy getting us into this mess and they are the only ones qualified to get us out.
Yes they have, but democrats are historically bigger spenders so do we trust them?
- McCain's age is of no issue in who he picked for VP.
What do you mean here? Did he want some youth on his ticket? Probably so.
....I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you guys.
You can calm down. I'm not a democrat. I honestly don't believe Barak in office will have an effect on policies that disagree with. It wouldn't matter if I voted regardless because McCain has a 16% lead here in TN.
Believe it or not I have done a lot of studying on the US Army with no specific time frame. and I don't use Lee tinted glasses when I say he was arguably one of the best Generals the US has ever put on the battlefield.
And aren't you late for your reenactment at the Elks lodge?

The correct statement would be Obama is at least as qualified as Palin...but intelligence will tell us he is much more qualified. Since when did graduating at the top of your class at Harvard Law not make you more qualified than someone attaining a degree from Idaho???
Whether you like it or not, graduating from an Ivy League university makes you more qualified than if you graduated from most state universities...from an education standpoint.
You little elitists make me laugh. I bet you'd prefer we just limit elections to Ivy League graduates, just imagine how great everything would be.
Again, she has better ideas than Obama, no way around that.
