McCain has worked closely on many occasions with Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W. Va.

They are both in the so-called "Gang of 14" in the US Senate together. They also have co-sponsored legislation and amendments together during their many years serving the Senate together.

Byrd was an active KKK member and leader until about 1947, when John McCain was 11 years old.

Should we question McCain's affiliations? Do we know the real John McCain?

.....

Or should we see this tactic for what it is, a pathetic, baseless attempt to discredit someone b/c you're out of options?

Weak TennNC, some of the weakest work you have ever brought.

Was TU the only church Obama had the option of attending for 20 years?

Did McCain hold one of his first fund raisers in Byrd's living room?

Byrd is a Dem, very interesting.

John McCain does not owe his political career to Byrd. Obama certainly does owe his in a large part to people like Ayers, Wright and others involved in socialist and racist groups like ACORN and the like. There is a very large distinction here but I'm sure you know that.

With McCain you know what you are going to get. His career in public service is a matter of record and there for everyone to see.

Obama on the other hand has no real record to fall back on. He has tried to keep his days as an ACORN activist in the background and away from public scrutiny for a reason. He has had to disavow every last person he was involved with before his campaign for a reason, they are anti American, racist, extremists or all of the above.

Bottom line is with Obama we don't know what he's serving for dinner, some of us can smell it from the next room though, and it ain't good.

This has got to be a knock on McCain's efforts to link Obama with Ayers... not to be taken seriously. Anyone else realize that?

We're desperate? :eek:lol:

If the polls and electorial map are any indication of the Dems being desperate than I hope they remain desperate.

the polls indicate obama has an insurmountable lead from a historical perspective unless mccain is ronald reagan which he isn't.

You referred to folks changing their mind only because of color. And the polls have been known to be very wrong. So, I don't trust them either way.
