So he had to pass student conduct and an independent review board? What is that?

As a student at the University of Tennessee you are given a handbook which contains a student "code of conduct." Essentially it outlines guidelines, policies, and certain administrative things that occur in some circumstances. If a student is charged with a crime then they can face disciplinary action from the school itself. This could mean taking classes, training, or even expulsion. This process applies even if the student is not convicted.

Yeah I’m aware of it. I don’t understand this 2nd independent review board referenced in the article that he was just cleared by.

He was cleared by student conduct board last week or earlier.

Shockers. Now all the Bammer fans using this case to justify Burton punching a woman SHOULD have to recalibrate…but they won’t.
If they recalibrate at all they’ll just triple down on the UT fans pour beer on crimson cripple narrative

To play devil's advocate, this is McCullough's version of the story written by his attorney...

With that being said, this version makes a lot more sense than an extremely intoxicated guy remembering vivid details and entire conversations after he got the hell beat out of him...

The actual truth probably lies somewhere in between

I believe the biggest argument the defense lawyer is putting out is that JM did not chase after the guy and stick him away from the apartment. They also state that if the guy had just left and not tried to re-enter this would not have happened (self-defense).

The whole story seemed fishy from the start.

Based on that Jaylen showed a great deal of restraint. I'm sure the truth is probably somewhere in between, it usually is. But, dude was admittedly drinking and McCullough was minding his own buisness, in his own apartment, when the guy started the incident. Without some new evidence, this is over. CJH handled this well. I'm annoyed at the PD for not talking to everyone present to start with though.

Glad it has worked out, and I am glad he had a witness to assist it in working out.
