Davis will fit right in ......she missed a bushel basket full of layups.
Have to say that I was expecting something different from her from all of the praise she's been getting on this board. She's athletic, but she looks very raw.
Westbrook was the clear standout of the incoming class. She already plays with the poise of a college player.

Agree on both points.Davis did not impress .Of course All Star games are not a good basis to come to conclusions and put her in a box.Hopefully ,this was not typical of her play.
I think Hayes was the standout, her defense & speed is second to none. KK scored every time her teammates went gave it to her, had she got it more she would've been dominating in the post.
On a team where Chassity Patterson, Boothe and Walker were all gunning for POTG, I commend some of the other girls for swallowing their pride and not being selfish (Like the 3 I mentioned seemed to be on several occasions)
I thought Patterson and Boothe were taking good shots, and they were making them. Boothe in particular. She shot the ball well.
Walker was clearly gunning for POG. She had a good 2nd half, but she was awful in the first.
As others pointed out, it's an All-Star game so it's hard to say, but the other three LV recruits outside of Westbrook IMO didn't stand out.
Boothe and Patterson were by far the most impressive players on the court. Walker also had a good second half. The big girl going to Louisville looked good too.

With Walker, Booth, and Patterson, all they wanted was someone to bring the ball in and someone to get their rebound if they missed!!!!! It will be interesting to see if they let the other players on Texas have the ball any??? I know Geno will utilize Walker properly!
I felt like All of the girls contributed and played team ball. Davis was forced to play out of position but still looked promising. Is there any way to get stats on the game?
The other three did not stand out????
I guess Middleton, MeMe, and Kortney better get ready to play!!!!!! Are you kidding me ??? 🤔
The thing that would make me happy is I was Karen Alston is the fact that Patterson and Boothe were taking shots within the offense, and they were good shots. Sometimes, it's nice to have players willing to take ownership...especially since the West was ahead the whole game and those two players stepped it up to keep it from getting away.
Admittedly, I was selfish and was hoping one of the Tennessee players would just take the game over. The team has suffered from passive play in the last decade outside of Diamond, so having someone willing to make things happen will be sorely needed...especially if Diamond leaves for the WNBA.
In my opinion, no. They could score on uncontested layups and free throws, but none of them hit any perimeter shots or created any shots off the dribble. I also didn't see any great defense from Anastasia. Certainly nothing to give Holly reason to start them over Alexa, so I guess Alexa better be ready to play next year.

You are incorrect about a number of things in your statement. One, both the rowing team and the soccer team were Lady Vols. I'm not sure if the rowing team changed until Dave Hart made the move against the Lady Vol moniker, but the soccer team started to slowly change when Angie Kelly left and Hart brought in Brian Pensky. That was an indication of things to come under Hart!
And, Lady Vols wasn't a 50's name to begin with. Pat didn't become the head coach until 1974. Originally, the moniker was Tennessee Women's Basketball. Sometime before Pat took over the moniker for all of the women's teams became the "Volettes". In 1976 Pat made a move to change that moniker and after consultation with the team proposed the adoption of the name "Lady Vols". This was adopted throughout the athletic department and, in fact, the volleyball team was the first to officially use the name since their season started before the basketball team.
One thing that is important here is that the Lady Vol moniker was adopted by the ladies themselves after meeting and discussion and not forced on them by a male administration, like was done by Hart and crew! While I am a proponent of the Lady Vol name, I would be accepting of the change if the teams had been given the opportunity to consider and make the ultimate decision.
And, if as you state at the end of your comment, the name will make the difference in relevance to the program, why hasn't Pensky taken the soccer team to the top of the standings since he and Hart made the first move to eliminate the "outdated" name?
