McKeefery has been let go...

Not too jacked about hearing this. This guy is one of the most important parts of the puzzle. He spends more time with the team than just about anyone else. I know coaches have their own, but this would have been one of the best examples of leaving part of the program in place that didn't seem to need fixing. McKeefery knew what he was doing. Hope that "get the best staff in the country" wasn't his first example of coach speak, because as much as he is growing on me, we all know that a Cincy staff was average at best.

Don't know who is better at what they do yet. But looking at the video of cinci's players at that preseason facility, the new s&c coach has got to feel like he has died and gone to heaven when he sees our new state of the art complex, if he sucks now maybe he will get better outta respect for what he has :D

I've moved the Trooper Taylor stuff into the existing thread about Taylor in the coaching rumors subforum, by the way. Rather than into the trash can where anything about Taylor probably belongs.

Yeah man! I vote for Trooper as the new S&C Coach. The workouts will be jumping and swinging a towel.

Just so I am clear - are we basing the merits of our new S&C coach compared to the previous one off of YouTube videos. If so we should hire Tony Little.

is this new Butch coach saying my Vols wern't strong enough? I like it......we were a little anemic and lacking in color most of the time.....Butch may be on to something here

You do realize that it's the muscles that move the body to speed right? Look at olympic sprinters, they are big and cut. Coach mac did great work and if you think otherwise then you are just wrong and probably ignorant of what modern S&C is all about (don't feel bad though most people are). Can't wait to meet the new guy, hopefully he will win me over. Go Vols!
