Keanu Reeves and Richard Madden are both rumored for The Eternals movie. They would be costarring with Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani.

The rumor going around is that John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are being eyed to play Reed Richards and Sue Storm.

That could be good. Krasinski was in the running to play Cap once upon a time. It’s still hard for me to look at him without seeing Jim from The Office.

The timeline of The Black Widow solo film may be in between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Also we may be introduced to someone that may become the new Black Widow in the MCU.

So she can be blonde during it 🙄

Not going to lie, it kinda bothers me when the look of the character is dictated by the actor. Like Hugh Jackman didn’t want to do the Wolverine hair any more and Hemsworth didn’t want to wear the long hair wig.

But my ultimate peev is Spider-Man pulling his mask off all the time.

She appears to have red hair in the photos that have leaked.

Working knowledge? You realize Iron Man was a C List character when Marvel Studios made the first movie right? There is a reason the rights to the Avengers was never sold off with Spider-Man, X-Men and Fantastic Four... it’s not because bankrupt Marvel was trying to hold onto its best properties. Sony refused to take the Avengers when offered with Spider-Man.

You are talking about a studio that made Guardians of the Galaxy into a smash hit, a property even seasoned comics fans had fleeting familiarity with.

The gravy train isn’t slowing down yet.
I agree with almost everything here but Iron Man and Captain America aren’t C level.

The avengers as a whole may be C/B- level but Iron Man has always been a Marvel lead through. Cap had an arcade game in the 90s. Iron man also has had a cartoon in every decade since the 80s. Caps shield on a T-shirt even before the movies was a well known logo.

C list may be a bit of a stretch but the when Marvel started licensing off the movie rights in the mid 90s, Iron Man’s solo book was on the verge of cancellation. Cap was in a pretty sorry place as well. Hulk was a consistent seller under Peter David. And the main Avengers title was just a mess. Basically there were two major brands in Marvel comics, Spider-Man and X-Men.

Iron Man didn’t have a cartoon from the mid 60s until the mid 90s as part of a syndicated
‘Action Hour’ with Fantastic Four that lasted 2 seasons. He did make an appearance on Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends in the 80s. Then there wasn’t another one until after the success of the movie.

Now I will say, there was a resurgence for the Avengers, Cap, and IM in the late 90s when Kurt Busiek and Mark Waid took over the books in Heroes Return. Then just before the Iron Man movie came out there was a big push by Marvel to put the Avengers center stage by relaunching the title with the hottest writer of the time in Brian Bendis. That certainly boosted Iron Man’s profile again.

So yeah... C level is maybe too much but they were certainly on a second tier well below Spider-Man and X-Men.

Everything is below spider man and X-men.

Dc is the same in many ways....after Batman and Superman the drop off is fast but I put wonderwoman in the same category as captain America.

Cap did have a movie and a sequel in the 70s and you know u loved it....ok you probably didn’t lol.

Outside of Spider-Man DC has always done better with the tv medium in my opinion though.

In the 60s I would say FF and Spider-Man were top two. Avengers being a close 3rd. X-Men was basically cancelled and just reprinted for 30 issues.

I would say Hulk was pretty high profile with the TV show. Lots of vintage Hulk merch out there.
