Great offer list. Seems like this kid is underrated. May project to the staff as a RS with contribution more towards junior and senior year.

OR he is totally flying under the radar and he will be the diamond in the rough for the class. Either way I like it. Let’s go UT

Is he someone expected to shoot up the rankings as another poster expects?

Seems like we are really pushing to get him in before he goes on visits. RG must be happy.

Yeah. Something doesn’t add up. His offer list is elite. It will be interesting to see how far he climbs.

This is one I’ve gotten some info on, and you all should be very happy we are getting him
I figured. I saw Ohio State wanted him and they recruit as well as anyone.

It feels good to finally beat them in some recruiting battles. It's good to go against and win some recruiting battles OSU, UGA, and Bama for recruits now instead of schools likew UK, SC, and UNC

Any idea from who? Candidly the fact he took no June OVs is a bit concerning IMO…

Agreed. No pooping on the potential commitment but AP cant cite how Cameron Sparks took no OVs this summer as a red flag and then we just gloss over it here.

Chop and Garner know what they’re doing but just wondering what the story is.

Scholarships are moving to 105 in 2025, not sure if that’s the reason why.
The punishment is to lose so many scholarships over a set period of time so my thinking is they'll just take a huge loss that first year of 105 now instead of spreading them over several years like they were intending to do.

Yea but don’t think we have all that many left only 6 after this season. Think we could get it all done and still have ~99 scholarships that year.

Doesn’t work that way. Tennessee must lose at least 2 per year during each year of probation. So if we tried to sacrifice them all in a year, we’d just be shooting ourselves in the foot.

I might be wrong, but I do not think that is correct. We have to cut a certain amount of scholarships by the end of our probation, and we can choose to do that how we want. Just like we cut a ginormous amount the first year Heup was here, as part of a self induced penalty.
