It’s my go to response for @Atlanta VOL.is this gif permenatly attached to your clip board? lol.....
oh, it's been appropriately used....but i dentify you with that gif now. i don't even look at hte poster anymore....lolIt’s my go to response for @Atlanta VOL.
Yes... I will overplay the crap out of it
It’s like Chavis back in the day. Get em on campus and they wanted to play for him. Supposedly he was more active in the road at later stops and was ranked higher as a recruiter, but teachers and developers are vital. Kinda mixed bag on Tracy Rocker. I stated similar sentiment towards his role because he coached em up a ton. But it appeared these past two seasons that he was actually a DETRIMENT to recruiting...treading water’s acceptable but you can’t be a negative factor. I don’t get that vibe out of Friend or Weinke...recruits tend to respond well after meeting them. I called Osovet early on recruiting because he got mentioned by a ton of recruits when he was an analyst...as Felton did in his earlier stint. That’s why I was ok with Weinke moving on in order for Osovet to get a role. Would keep an eye on Tino Sunseri as a future QB coach candidate. Worked out even better with Nieds coaching his preferred position and getting that Osovet brain on the offense.Well what many hv to realize is some are paid to coach and some are paid to recruit. Chaney primary is coaching, but he plays a major role in recruiting too.

I think Pruitt was beyond impressed of his X’s and O’s while interviewing him for the WR’s position and wanted him in the program. As a JUCO HC, recruiting is pretty much all on the main guy and he built two successful programs at that level. Need to show evaluation chops and closing ability to sell those kids looking for a springboard to a big time program. Knew it was a great analyst hire and suspected he would flourish sooner rather than later when given a chance. Just hoped that would be with the Vols. Of course other programs have noticed by now...if not before.Bringing in Osovet when we did a few years ago was a little odd at the time. Seeing how he's progressed through the ranks and how he's now a major asset in recruiting shows that Pruitt can recruit and develop coaches as well as players.
yep. i think they've had to fend off a few offers the past couple years.I think Pruitt was beyond impressed of his X’s and O’s while interviewing him for the WR’s position and wanted him in the program. Never gave him grief for SAYING it, but when you get the performance we received out of Mahoney and Martinez? He gets ravaged for the DELIVERY.yep. i think they've had to fend off a few offers the past couple years.
as much as i've been impressed with Pruitt's ability to find coaches for his staff...there is a part of me that really wants to keep this particular group together for a little bit, and see what htey can do with some time.
i feel like this staff is really really good.......and could be looking back in a couple/three years and saying this is if not the best, one of the best 3-5 staff's in the country.
nieds, osovet, grahm, ansley, chaney, brumbaugh, felton....friend and weinke too.
i mean, there's BSIA's and then there's BSIA's.....lol
I think you are absolutely right. His eye for talent in players and coaches is severely underrated.Bringing in Osovet when we did a few years ago was a little odd at the time.
