I'd love to see a UT-MD pipeline...UGA, Penn State, Notre Dame, and tOSU have made hay in that area for years. Lockesly (?) will make it more difficult to get players out-of-state, though.

Willis is actually from the 804. I watched him play little league several times and he will light you up. He would have played for one of the less competitive schools in the area and was basically shopped around before deciding on St. Francis. I saw him when he was much bigger and more powerful than the other kids. Want to get everyone's take on his play now and how he will fit into UT's 3-4 scheme. To me he is a bit undersized to play outside LB.

Pruitt always says that he wants linebackers who can play all four positions, but Willis would most likely play primarily inside. 247 currently lists him as 207 and compares him to Jayon Brown. The Titans list Brown at 230, and his recruiting profile had him at 200 when he signed with UCLA. I don't think we need to worry about his weight once he gets in our S&C program.

Exactly. We are recruiting the linebacker position at another level this year. If these guys stick, we could have the best linebacker class in the country. Add Mondon and you have two ELITE inside guys and two ELITE outside guys.

I also think he’s underrated. Not sure exactly why other than they might have dinged him on his height.

yeah, totally agree. throw brooks and lews in the mix and it takes a bit of the "luster" off.

but i agree, i like this kid a lot and i think he's gonna be really really good....he was a "hope we can get" guy for me for a while.

Also it can't be overstated that we are getting in deep with an elite high school program.

There are questions about him in coverage and with shedding blocks at the POA. The latter will come with added strength in the weight room. He’s not the prospect Lewis is but Aaron Willis is legit and probably a little underrated at 93 on 247. Love his potential and not being negative just pondering why he’s not a 5 star rn.
