Rather than sign with LSU on national signing day, four-star defensive end
Demon Clowney is opening up his recruitment and he will sign in February.
The Baltimore St. Frances standout, who is the No. 8 weakside defensive end in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, took an unofficial visit to UCF over the weekend while he was home in Florida but did not take any other visits because he was committed to the Tigers for the last nine months.
According to St. Frances coach Henry Russell, Clowney is looking at several other options and he will take official visits in January before settling on a school.
“Tennessee, Virginia, Ole Miss, Miami and Pitt have expressed the most interest,” Russell said. “He is trying to set up some visits to some places like that. We will see what he decides and where he wants to visit.”
