This decision by LSU could have lasting repercussions. St. Frances Academy is loaded with talent and that isn’t changing anytime soon. It would be surprising to see LSU sign a prospect from this school beyond the 2020 recruiting class. Expect Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Ole Miss, and Miami to be involved in Clowney’s recruitment going forward.

Sounds like some bridges might be burned at a school where Pruitt is trying to set up a pipeline.

They have more studs coming in next year that are / will be top 300 recruits. Biff and his staff are stand up guys. Very loyal and good people. The blow up the program had in MD and his non existent relationship with Gilman has made the soft skills side of recruiting far more important here than anywhere else. Talent wise the school it is head and shoulders above the entire country.

Pruit and staff are doing a great job at SFA. Should see it payoff.

Will keep up on what I hear.

Havent watched film but this guy could really change complexion of our pass rushing ability. And finally give us some studs and depth.....where we missed or frankly just weren't getting lot of looks first 2 classes

Wasn't that impressed with junior film. Looking for senior film. What's everyone else thoughts. This is a top 100 guy????

IIRC price said the staff didn’t like his film.

BUT we also recently offered ten players from this school in the next two cycles as well as taking Dominic this year.

Feels like LSU left this kid out to dry and burned some bridges at the school.

Since we have an extra spot I wouldn’t mind adding Clowney to this class. Might put us in a good light with his coaches and really help land some of their ‘21 & ‘22 guys.

You posted previously that Tennessee was going after Demon. Heard anything else on that or do you think him to Maryland is more likely?

BIff has deep ties to Michigan including having coached at Michigan, his son playing there, great respect for Harbaugh. There is more to the relationship, but i'll leave it at those 3 in particular.

Rakim and Demon are very close and Rakim switching to UMD could play a huge roll in this process and Demon's recruitment. In fact, Rakim started making calls to other schools once it became know that Demon was being dropped by LSU for other recruits. Had Demon been allowed to sign with LSU, Rakim would still be a Tiger. I know UT, UMD, and Ole Miss have been in touch.

Once Webb was on board, Clowney was processed which he was known was a possibility. I haven't heard anything negative about him but the staff was concern about his senior year and he hadn't progressed, Webb is just better at this point.

They are told situations where their offer can be pulled, that situation was triggered i.e. Webb. I mentioned a while back that Clowney might be on the cut list, it was no secret.
