Dude, someone else brought up the two different BMI examples, not me.

And, yet, you're comfortable using nothing but height and weight to define level of fitness when it's already patently obvious that there are myriad deficiencies with the BMI calculation that do not account for muscularity, body fat, et cetera.

Very interesting!

BMI is very dumb and very antiquated. Maurice Jones Drew, for example, would have had a BMI of around 33 and would be considered "obese" by this metric; I don't know about you, but I'd much rather fight a 6'1, 140 lb guy deemed by BMI to be of "normal" weight in a dark alley than MJD and I know which one I'd consider to be healthier.
140 would be underweight at that height. Try someone at 185 instead.

Sure there are outliers but those are easily identified. Chad or Karen hasn't added 15lbs of "muscle" since new year's by doing the elliptical 10 times

You're overweight. That explains a lot.
Being slightly overweight. Normal for adults is 18-24. Mine is 22.

Shame on you.

100 bucks says you're a little panty waist that can barely bench press your weight...but you are criticizing a female that you have never seen based on what she weighs. She could probably kick your butt, too...

Trying to figure out which former cancer this persona is an alter for. Nobody shows up in a new forum and manages to make nearly every single person there hate them in such a short time. Far more likely that you are 1 of the clowns who finally got banned from here for trolling and harassing the other posters.

Still trying to figure out what part of Nurse it is that just eats your little lunch so badly...props to Lilreb for keeping his cool. This clown isnt worth the trouble...

NGV doesn’t need my help . We’ve played online games with open forum chats for years, and have interacted with 100s of people from around the world , males and females . We also have open line chats with groups of people / friends from different countries all over the world . Purple Tiger is “extremely mild “ in comparison . Besides , no matter where you are , regardless of country , you just can’t fix stupid. Identifying it is the important part , and I think we’ve done that . 😉

Agree, BMI is an outdated and terrible way to judge obesity or fitness.

When I was in the Army I was always over my BMI number even though I consistently scored 290+ on the PT test. Of course I don't think the Army had updated their height/weight charts since the '40s.

It’s fun to type in your height , sex and watch what comes up as their idea weight and BMI. I don’t know what reality they are living in but that’s not happening . I’m supposed to be between 129 and 173 lbs, BMI from 18.5- 25 and waist ... anything under 35 inches . The last part is the only mark I managed to hit . Lol.

I absolutely don't GAF if you or others on here hate me. I usually have the opposite opinion of you and a lot of posters and you all fall apart/personally attack if someone disagrees with you. If you hate me, then you are immature and need to go talk with your pastor. No one eats my lunch on here - I only return kind for kind. If someone attacks me, I attack back. FYI - I've never been on this board in any other name.

As far as my size, I have a disease (EPI + diabetes) that keeps weight off me. I used to be a lot stronger and more muscular. My blood sugar is high, too. I've burned through my muscles and fat. Are you going to make fun of me now for having a health issue?

I've had to adjust my protein intake the past year to finally hit 155 and it's made me feel generally better. I usually have 4-6 meals a day but between the amount of cardio I do and my freak metabolic rate, I've always burned right through it. I remember returning from 10 days of 15-20 miles of daily trekking and I think I was down to 130 as a result.

No argument on my end that 140 most likely manifests itself as underweight at 6'1, but its BMI calculation is at the absolute low end of "normal weight."

Which is, of course, my point.

I've never hated you more than I do right now.

I'm 6'0. It was pretty shocking to look in a mirror when I got back. It was all vein, muscle, and bone.

I can imagine , that’s not a lot of weight for 6 foot . I had the same problem until I hit 25 -26 . Then I started putting on muscle mass .

Like I said I've had to make adjustments to my diet as well as my activity to get up to the ~150 range. I've always been comfortable in my own skin but I've had to focus on muscle mass as (sorry McDad) my metabolism has somehow gone up in recent years.

And vice-versa. I can't believe you would whine about my posts after some of the things you've written to/about me. WAHHHHH.
I believe that's called stating a fact. If you have been offended by some opinion i posted that hurt your feelings you should have said it outright to me instead of lying about grammar and a blatant attempt at fat shaming someone who's not fat. Do go ahead and tell me how I've offended you?

@McDad does it make it worse that I have a full head of thick, wavy hair and that no one in my family goes bald?

I was also blessed with a Sam Elliot baritone.

BS! Get over yourself. You are willing to pile on anytime someone gets jumped on for stating an opinion that is unpopular. If you can't take what you dish out, then don't attack others.
