REVEALED: GMA producer was paid thousands of dollars by Florida-based lobbying firm to perform 'hit job' interviews on political opponents - 11 years after she had THAT affair with married 'To Catch a Predator' host Chris Hansen

  • A Good Morning America producer is accused of using her credentials in order to do political lobbying on behalf of a major consulting firm in Florida
A Good Morning America producer, who was previously most known for her affair with To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen, used her title to gain access to politicians who were opposed to the interests of a major political consulting firm she was also employed by.

A bombshell report from NPR and Floodlight says that Kristen Hentschel, who formerly went by the name Kristyn Caddell, had on least three occasions attempted to 'trip up Florida politicians whose stances on environmental regulations cut against the interests' of clients of Matrix LLC.

More recently, Matrix has been accused of running surveillance operations against journalists and environmental activists.

A spokesperson for ABC told NPR: 'If she was working on these stories, she was not authorized to cover them for ABC News.' It's not clear if Hentschel is still employed by ABC.

CNN hires former Rep. Adam Kinzinger as senior political commentator

CNN announced it hired recently retired Rep. Adam Kinzinger as a senior political commentator.

The Illinois Republican had served in the House since 2011 and operated mostly under the radar until 2021, when he took the forefront as one of the most outspoken anti-Trump Republicans. He served as one of the only two Republicans on the House Jan. 6 committee and further increased his public prominence by becoming more active on social media.

He decided not to run for reelection after his rebranding, perhaps expecting an electoral outcome similar to that of another prominent anti-Trump House Republican, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY).

Kinzinger is now set to begin a new career as a senior political commentator with CNN.

CBS News Boss Neeraj Khemlani Faces Internal HR review, sources say

The cost-cutting CBS News boss who clashed with Norah O’Donnell is facing an internal human-resources review over complaints about his sharp-elbowed management style, The Post has learned.

The complaint led to a larger internal review headed by CBS corporate HR exec Whitney Delich. The review, which began several months ago, is focused on how Khemlani speaks to women and employees of color, The Post has learned.

Popcorn time. No sympathy for either of the warring factions; let the battle begin. The deserved outcome should just be smoke and rubble ... and peace and quiet. Hopefully this is an ego busting episode, and both sides get totally crushed. I have no use for over paid and pampered executives or for "reporters" and their biased drivel.

Sincerest form of flattery... CNN 'is mulling stand-up comic for primetime show after Fox News funnyman Greg Gutfeld smashed ratings, with Bill Maher and Jon Stewart among names in frame'

CNN is reportedly considering hiring a comedian to host one of its struggling prime time hours - the latest in a series of sweeping changes to the network under new CEO Chris Licht.

According to people familiar with the matter, the not-yet-named funnyman or woman would be tasked with filling the hallowed 9pm time slot, previously held by Chris Cuomo.

Brass at the famously progressive news network have reportedly floated names such as Bill Maher, Trevor Noah, Arsenio Hall, and Jon Stewart, as candidates, to offer a nontraditional, late-night-esque take on the day's news. Fox News has found success with Gutfeld!, the late-night comedy show hosted by Greg Gutfeld.

I don't find Gutfeld funny. He tries to be. But, I think Jimmy Failla would be better at it.

If you watch the news in the US, you'd think Peru is burning to the ground. CNN is also running stories talking about protests "in Lima".

I'm sitting in Lima and life is back to pre-COVID normal. There are protests squished into about two places around the country, where there are literally always protests. Don't believe the media.

CNN does not need a comedy hour - it already is a joke! Fox News' Greg Gutfeld mocks ailing network's search for rival late night show and then thanks them for 'giving cable news a golden age of comedy'

  • Gutfeld claimed the 'smashing success' of his own late-night Fox show had forced bosses at CNN to look for 'a hit comedy show of their own'
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld mocked CNN over its search for a comedy host - saying the network already is a joke.

Gutfeld claimed the 'smashing success' of his own late-night Fox show had forced CNN to look for 'a hit comedy show of their own.'

Bosses at the famously progressive news network have reportedly floated names such as Bill Maher, Trevor Noah and Jon Stewart to offer a satirical take on the news - and compete with rival Fox's Gutfeld!.

The Fox show last year drew a ratings average of 2.15 Million viewers - trumping vehement progressives such as James Corden and Stephen Colbert, who have seen ratings fall drastically in recent years.

Gutfeld joked that no shake-up was needed at CNN because it had already provided cable news with the 'golden age of comedy.'

Morale at ABC at all time low amid T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach investigation

Enough is enough.

ABC’s ongoing investigation of their “GMA3” anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach continues to be a major distraction around their Upper West Side offices on 66th Street and at Times Square Studios, where they shoot the daytime show.

And we’re told insiders are beginning to lose patience with news boss Kim Godwin’s handling of the explosive situation.

“It’s going on two months! It’s been a two-month tabloid frenzy. The place is not in a very good place [to be],” one insider told Page Six.

“It’s affecting morale — not so much the talent. It’s the rank-and-file — the people who keep the lights on. Morale is at an all-time low,” they added.

Employees are starting to point fingers at ABC News president Godwin who pulled the couple off air in December, because their affair had become too much of an “internal and external distraction,” she explained in an email.

One insider told us that the reputation of ABC parent company Disney is at stake. “The affair is one thing, but you also can’t be credible to tell the news when you are the news — that’s part of the challenge.”

‘Absolutely Furious’: WaPo Staff Reacts To Newsroom Layoffs

Staffers from The Washington Post (WaPo) reacted negatively to the media giant’s announcement it had begun laying off employees Tuesday amid a decline in revenue.

WaPo cut 20 positions and will not fill 30 vacancies, according to the outlet. Publisher Fred Ryan told staff in December he anticipated a “single digit percentage” of employees would be cut during eventual layoffs.

Copy editor at WaPo, Vanessa H. Larson, said she was “absolutely furious” about the layoffs.

Fox News Crushes CNN, MSNBC Viewership as Don Lemon’s morning show has worst week since launch

Fox News Channel continued to dominate cable news viewership last week as MSNBC and CNN struggled to attract the viewers most coveted by advertisers.

Fox News averaged 1.4 million viewers from Jan. 16-22, making it the only basic cable channel to crack the one-million viewer benchmark. ESPN finished second with an average audience of 825,000, followed by MSNBC, HGTV and Hallmark Channel. CNN managed an average of only 417,000 viewers during the same period.

Fox News also obliterated CNN during the primetime hours of 8-11 p.m., averaging nearly two million total viewers compared to only 444,000 for CNN.

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are Out at ABC after Scandalous Affair

A source with knowledge of the talks taking place this week tells us, “They have not finished mediation — but, yes, that will be conclusion,” as far as Robach and Holmes leaving the network.

Essentially, we’re told the journalists have not yet signed on the dotted line, but an exit agreement is in the works and will happen imminently.

Sources close to ABC also told TMZ Friday that after an “extremely contentious” mediation, the station and its anchors have decided to cut ties.
