Harry 'may have to adjust his expectations of key witness', says judge in Mail hearing: Mr Justice Nicklin warns public figures over private detective who flatly denies hacking claims

A judge today warned that Prince Harry and others 'may have to adjust their expectations' of a private detective who has flatly rebutted claims that he 'confessed' to hacking them for Associated Newspapers.

The duke and five other public figures suing the publisher of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday have cited Gavin Burrows 'coming forward' with admissions of phone hacking, along with house and car bugging, as a catalyst for their legal action.

CNN bosses are calling for patience as Views Plummet 61% while CEO Chris Licht tries to rid network of its woke credentials

  • CNN's dip is most dramatic - 61% in prime time in March
  • In the key demographic for advertisers, CNN has lowest numbers in decades
CNN's leadership is preaching patience even though thousands of viewers are abandoning the network during its attempted turnaround, with no indication yet whether it will pay off.

The warning comes just weeks after Discovery boss David Zaslav called out mistakes in new CEO Chris Licht's attempt to rid the network of its 'woke' credentials on top of rumors that Licht might be out of the job by Labor Day.

Author James Patterson Accuses New York Times of 'cooking' its Best Sellers list in blistering letter to the editor they refused to publish: 'It's bonkers'

  • Best selling author, James Patterson, has accused the New York Times of manipulating its Best Sellers list by not basing it solely on sales
James Patterson has accused the New York Times of 'cooking' its Best Sellers list, pointing out how the newspaper doesn't appear to base the list on sales alone but rather some other kind of intricate methodology.

Author Patterson first sparked concerns last weekend in tweet in which he raised suspicions over how the list was calculated.

'What's up with @NYTimes best seller lists? Anybody besides me notice that @MikePompeo's book sold more copies than 6 titles on today's list?' he asked.

'And, last week, J.D. Robb's (that's Nora Roberts's pen name) novel wasn't on the fiction list even though it was still selling more than 4 other titles there. By 'best' seller, does the Times mean best for their target audience?' he wrote.

Bet the book he promoted with Bill Clinton didn’t have these issues.

CNN's Don Lemon accused of extensive misogyny, sending threatening texts to female colleague: report

CNN blasted the bombshell report as 'patently false anecdotes'

A bombshell report in Variety on Wednesday made scandalous allegations about the anchor’s past, such as sending threatening text messages to a colleague and repeatedly exhibiting misogynistic and "diva-like" behavior, but CNN has downplayed the claims as "patently false anecdotes."

"While Phillips was on assignment in Iraq — a high-profile gig that Lemon coveted — he vented his disappointment at being passed over by tearing up pictures and notes on top of and inside Phillips’ desk in the news pod they shared, according to two sources who worked there at the time. When she returned from Iraq, things only got weirder," Siegel continued. "One night while dining with members of the news team, she received the first of two threatening text messages from an unknown number on her flip phone that warned, ‘Now you’ve crossed the line, and you’re going to pay for it.’"

Phillips was "was visibly rattled and quickly enlisted CNN’s higher ups to identify the sender," according to Variety.

"Remarkably, the texts were traced back to Lemon, according to those same sources. A human resources investigation was launched, and while the findings were never disclosed to the growing pool of staffers who were aware of the situation, Lemon was abruptly pulled from his co-anchor duties with Phillips and moved to the weekends. It was a demotion by any objective measure and understood to be some kind of disciplinary action," Siegel wrote.

Nolte: Far-Left Buzzfeed Cuts 15% of Staff, Closes BuzzFeed News

After more than a decade of failure, far-left BuzzFeed News is finally shutting down.

BuzzFeed CEO Jonah Peretti’s memo announcing the mercy killing Thursday morning and the memo was tweeted out by a media reporter* for the far-left New York Times.

To give you an idea of BuzzFeed’s ongoing failure, the left-wing company’s stock is currently at 75 cents. That’s down from $9.61 in December of 2021.

In its early days, BuzzFeed News made a cottage industry out of attacking Breitbart News with lies and gossip. You see, they were angry about us telling the truth about them. But the whole thing was biased and dull and doomed from the start. Then, eight or nine years ago, BuzzFeed News fell off the radar entirely until Ben Smith violated every journalistic protocol ever written to publish the Deep State’s phony Russia dossier on Donald Trump.
