Nolte: Far-Left Buzzfeed Cuts 15% of Staff, Closes BuzzFeed News

After more than a decade of failure, far-left BuzzFeed News is finally shutting down.

BuzzFeed CEO Jonah Peretti’s memo announcing the mercy killing Thursday morning and the memo was tweeted out by a media reporter* for the far-left New York Times.

To give you an idea of BuzzFeed’s ongoing failure, the left-wing company’s stock is currently at 75 cents. That’s down from $9.61 in December of 2021.

In its early days, BuzzFeed News made a cottage industry out of attacking Breitbart News with lies and gossip. You see, they were angry about us telling the truth about them. But the whole thing was biased and dull and doomed from the start. Then, eight or nine years ago, BuzzFeed News fell off the radar entirely until Ben Smith violated every journalistic protocol ever written to publish the Deep State’s phony Russia dossier on Donald Trump.

CNBC’s Hadley Gamble also romantically linked to TPG’s David Bonderman: sources

The TV anchor who brought down NBC Universal CEO Jeff Shell also had a romantic entanglement with a married Texas buyout tycoon who treated her to a luxurious, jet-setting lifestyle, The Post has learned.

Hadley Gamble — a CNBC correspondent who was revealed to be the woman who had an “inappropriate relationship” with Shell for more than a decade until 2019 — was also tied during the same period to David Bonderman, the billionaire chairman of private equity firm TPG, according to a whistleblower complaint reviewed by The Post.

CNN news anchor Dana Bash slammed the Los Angeles Times on Thursday over a headline that referred to her as colleague John King’s “ex-wife” — prompting the newspaper to edit out the reference.

Bash reacted on Twitter to the LA Times’ write-up of CNN’s announcement this week that the all-news cable outfit had tapped her to replace her former spouse as the lead anchor on the daily program “Inside Politics.”

The original headline on the LA Times story read: “John King exits CNN’s ‘Inside Politics’ for new role. His ex-wife Dana Bash will succeed him.”

Geraldo called out all the election lies and BS spread by Carlson and the rest of the Fox actors. It's not hard to get ratings when your purpose
is to lie and scare gullible rural people. Ratings have nothing to do with legitimacy. Bottom of the barrel content always gets ratings. Fact.

CNBC cuts ties with anchor Hadley Gamble, who accused NBCUniversal CEO of sexual harassment

CNBC cut ties with anchor Hadley Gamble, whose sexual harassment and discrimination complaint against NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell resulted in his ousting, the network announced on Tuesday.

"Gamble has been a distinguished journalist for more than a decade for CNBC, undertaking highly visible and challenging assignments, and developing deep expertise in the Middle East and beyond. Her initiative and drive have secured valuable interviews with several world political leaders. We wish her every success in her future endeavors," a CNBC spokesperson said in a statement.

Shell was shown the door last month after Gamble’s complaint about his behavior resulted in an outside counsel probing the allegations. The move raised eyebrows across the media industry because NBCUniversal had been unwilling to enlist outside counsel in the past.

Will corrections be made and the awards returned that they gave themselves?

Here is how the Pulitzer Prize describes its National Reporting Award for 2018, “Staffs of The New York Times and The Washington Post”:

For deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration. (The New York Times entry, submitted in this category, was moved into contention by the Board and then jointly awarded the Prize.

I’ve mentioned this in other threads but I am currently pursuing a PH.D. Here’s how little credibility the Times, the Post, Cable news networks etc. actually have in the world of scholarly research.

Citing the contents these organizations provide is not evidence of anything other than these organizations reported on something. Meaning I can state “In 2016 the New York Times reported X”. I can’t state “X happened” (New York Times, 2016). They are not considered a quality source of information.

Why? Because their motive is not to thoroughly investigate X and provide an unbiased report full of facts saturated in objective analysis, concluding with an honest perspective of X. Their motive is to generate public interest and attract eyeballs to their content. Furthermore, the only consequence they face for lying is the threat of public scrutiny. And so many people in our society only care about the narrative that fits their worldview rather than the truth so they keep eating the lies. They just keep going back and gobbling up more.
