Bring back Walter Cronkite
Nah...journalism has never been unbiased, but appealed to more as 'factual' depending upon the commonality within the population consuming it. Everyone has a belief system, bias, and while you can and should objectively sanity-test your bias as you go through life, your beliefs are who you are. Unless you're an utter sham, that emanates from you.
As the counterweight to Brinkley/Huntley, Lord Cronkite was no exception. He just wasn't over-the-top caricaturish as MSNBC, Stewart, and such. Greenwald, for example, is a card-carrying liberal (more in a classic than contemporary sense) who is unquestionably biased. But he's not willing to follow the tribe into the insane, barely American, radicalized hole they've dug and found himself excised from them. Like Dershowitz.
Likewise, I see some here still taking a **** on the idea that Breitbart is a news organization; they absolutely are but aren't for everyone. I like them for current event reporting but not the place for subject matter deep-dives. For instance, no one did a better job shining light on the prevalence of K-12 gender mind-screwing of children by activist, national teacher orgs. They're decidedly anti-leftist. Some the best evidentiary deep-dive reporting is done by RealClearInvestigations; I see no one doing it better consistently. Even John Solomon who's had some deserved criticism, documents the living crap out of his reporting, and is pretty dispassionate while being decidedly conservative.
