Medical Marijuana use really no brainer.

I think it's funny that people think that marijuana smokers would do anything en masse that would require initiative.

Some comedian explained why the "weed" vote doesn't get out:

"Dude, I thought it was Super Wednesday!"

When you consider how overcrowded the jails are, and how overburdened the legal system is, and then the number of people being jailed for Marijuana use. I would like to see it legalized.

I think the "War on Drugs" has wasted a lot of resources. People are going to make their own mistakes, its not the government responsibility to stop them. I'm libertarian on this.

You'd be surprised at the number of people growing marijuana illegally at their homes (not me).

They make marijuana pills that help people who are sick and losing weight.

The smoke while it my seem good ; cannot be good for you

It can be prescribed in pill form by a Dr. The potheads dont want to hear about it because they just want to smoke it they dont want it to help a sickness

rarely does someone get jailed for pot use, the ones doing time are the ones selling large amounts

I've never seen an episode of cops, where any kind of drugs were found on someone's person, or in their car where they didn't go to jail. Joints included.

That's proposterous. If it was legal for recreational use, then I think that would include the sick too. I've never heard a pothead say he/she was against any synthetic pill or that the sick shouldn't be allowed to smoke.

I'm glad to hear that.

I'm willing to listen to same arguement for people arrested for possession of small amounts of any drug.

Seems a waste to fill the prison and legal system with people who are abusing drugs. We don't have the resources, i.e. prisons, to house that many people.

I'm more concerned with identity theft, violent crime, etc. Those are the people I want behind bars and for their full sentence. Not recreational drug users.

There are natural THC pills made out of marijuana and there is the synthetic Marinol. You can research Marinol yourself; you'll see most doctors say their patient prefer pot and say Marinol gives them side affects like headaches and hang-over feelings. The DEA, pro-police groups, and pharmaceutical companies claim its a great drug, even better than weed. That's why Marinol is so in demand on college campuses and weed is in the decline (yeah right).

So there are people here that don't want pot legalized, at least that is what I have gathered, any reasons for that? I have honestly yet to hear a good argument from the anti-legalization side.

Which is why most so-called supporters of medical reefer have no credibility. If they would just come out and say they want to smoke weed on the weekends, then they would at least get my respect. But to demagogue and hide their agenda behind HIV/AIDS patients and cancer victims is where I have a problem.

It would also be a waste to legalize weed and then go back and try to prosecute people that grow it in their homes.

Well then let me gain some credibility. I want to, legally, be able to smoke myself stupid every Saturday while watching basketball and eating hot wings and Doritos. I also want to be able to smoke myself stupid if I ever have glaucoma.

Again, totally false.

You're being delusional if you don't think that most (notice I didn't say all, but most) of these guys are just hiding behind patients in order to promote their recreational weekend habits. If you gathered 20 pot smokers in a room and asked them if they support legalizing reefer, I guarantee you at least 14 out of 20 would have glaucoma/cancer/HIV as a defense for legalizing, not recreational use. We all know deep down that the majority of pot smokers that are out in front on this issue are really being disengenious.

Again, this is coming from somebody that believes in legalizing pot. But they don't have to insult the intelligence of the public by demagoging the issue.
