If he goes forward with the missile defense system, then he is showing strength. He does not need to invade Russia over Russia's latest move. However, I have a feeling he will pull a JFK and make a lot of noise, thump his chest in front of the American people, take the focus off our missiles and onto the USSR's missiles, then pull off a shady, secretive, backroom deal.

The USSR will remove their missiles and the American people will praise BHO. Meanwhile, the USSR will have a strategic victory as we abandon our missile defense system and lose the confidence of forward moving, free-market Eastern European countries.

I expect the Chinese to rattle their sabers as well. They did ground one of our airplanes and arrest the crew shortly after W. took office in 2001.

This is going to sound silly and unbelievable but I wonder what some of these countries would think if we just happened to pop into all of their ports with a few of these bad boys....

You now.... having some problems..... needed to make to the nearest port.... did I mention these.....

you never park a boomer where it can be seen, part of their effectiveness lies in no one knowing exactly where one is. If I remember correctly, boomers operate alone and some of the best training our Navy guys get is trying to find an Ohio-class that doesn't want to be found.

Gut feeling is that we will be reducing the fleet OE...not expanding! But maybe we can hide the subs from Obama.

nothing like slinging 3000 pound shells 110 miles away. It's sad that the old battleships have been retired, but they've been eclipsed by technology.
