I've often been amazed at what people get away with saying when they're steering the boat so to speak...but I suppose it is different within the military command structure.
late night?
There are certain details we are not allowed to give out to the public and one of them is the speed of boats. They even go so far as to have no documentation on it so someone can't file a freedom of information act to get it.
If you go to Janes website boats will be listed at ranges like 25+ knots and such information given after that is speculation and Janes makes it clear that it is.
I didn't mean the military command structure comment as a jab or anything....I'm just saying that I've worked in controlled environments before and I've been amazed what our leaders got away with saying....we would have been fired for saying some of those things. My comment about the military were meant to inquire whether there are actually penalties (for saying such things) that get enforced more consistently within the military command structure than the civilian leadership hierarchy I've experienced...
I know you well enough to know you aren't like BPV
And believe me, I understand watching senior officers shoot their mouths off to the press. However I do not have the privilege to see what happens to them behind closed doors. Not yet anyway.
LA Class fast attack? when you mentioned "black hole of death" I thought of how Tom Clancy described the Ohio's.
