15.6 million people in the US watched the final on TV. That’s a huge number. I am sure there attendance will be the same it always it is. I doubt their demographic is people who would be offended by any of this.Oh, then it's working. Good for her.
I can't wait to see how the Women's Soccer League fills up the stands this season.
Speaking of, does anyone know the ticket price compared to the MLS?
Just another example of the left, backed by the media, stamping out opposing views. I am 100% positive the entire team does not share her views on these issues but their voices are silenced by fear of retribution. She is speaking for the entire team and nation if you ask the media.
and another example of the media's constant division agenda.
Billions for the men vs millions for the women is not a greater revenue stream. The women's team provides a greater revenue stream than the men's does. Higher tv ratings. The spend less. The economics are in their favor and have been for the last few years.
I don’t have a problem with her stance regarding equal pay, but you do have to consider all things financial in determining that pay. What do the numbers look like? I don’t care that’s she doesn’t like Trump, but as a member of the US National team, I think there’s a level of decorum where you don’t use that platform to bash any president. I’ve watched with some interest but it’s largely a non factor to me.
Help me out here, what was it that she said that disrespected Trump? I've seen some clips of her on some cable shows, but what did she say while in uniform, or after/during a game?
I’ve seen the clips too, do not know or remember if any of them were in uniform. YouTube is a good start as far as her statements on Trump or her response to visiting the WH. I just thought it was unprofessional considering she’s representing the US team. But it’s not the end of the world.
That “revenue stream” that you’re referring to is only counting ticket sales. When you add in merchandise sales and tv, the men’s team brings in more. Another stink being raised is the disparity in World Cup payouts that fifa gives out, $400 million to male players as compared to $30 million to women players. However that’s entirely down to the amount of revenue that’s produced by the two tournaments. In fact, women are actually getting a bigger cut of the revenue than the men our.The women's team provides a greater revenue stream than the men's does. Higher tv ratings. The spend less. The economics are in their favor and have been for the last few years.
