Just a question. Calvin Johnson coming out of ga tech was 6'5, 235 lbs, ran a 4.3 something forty, and had sticky as glue hands with a tireless work ethic. Yep, sounds like hunter to me, lol. Does that sound like hunters attributes to you?
6'4" and ran a 4.4 flat at the combine....yeah, way off. :loco: Wow. Just wow. Totally off, I know.

Just stop talking. Justin hunter is skinny track star who struggles to make key catches in big games and is scared to death to get hit. Megatron is a HOF receiver who really cannot be guarded let's be honest
You're comparing him to where Johnson is TODAY. I'm talking about when he was DRAFTED....hello? Anybody home in there?

And yes Hunter has the same attributes that Calvin Johnson had then. Made the same type of circus catches as a freshman and sophomore. Look at Kenny Britt. Everyone talked about him being a force when he got healthy again. Never showed up last year.

It ain't easy coming back from an ACL tear and returning to form right way. That's why everyone was amazed that Adrian Peterson was able to play the way he did this past year.

Hunter is indeed a freak just as Calvin Johnson was, and when he makes his first pro bowl, I'll dig up this thread and serve you a$$-hats a healthy plate of crow.

I agree. Kiper is only in his 30th year of doing this as a draft analyst for ESPN. The connections that he has made with coaches, players, and scouts over that period of time are worthless. I prefer to get my information from the experts on Vol Nation who drive a beer truck for a living.

People can drive beer trucks for a living? I've found my dream job. Hope they don't mind too many cases falling off the back.

Sorry but I'd take college Calvin over Hunter too. Not a knock against Hunter at all but Johnson was ridiculous even without a decent QB

Saw hunter and Calvin a lot. Megatron way greater in college. He would make the play when doubled and game on line. Hunter has the acl issue but Calvin was a freak and so was moss.

I held the door open for a guy with a hand truck loaded with beer at a convenience store this morning. He was driving a really big truck full of beer cans and bottles. I assume that he was getting paid.

Hunter put up some good numbers in college, but seems like it was always against weaker opponents.

Just said on Sports Center that this years WR draft class is "okay"...I know we're all biased here, but really? Just "okay?" I find it very hard to look at CP and Justin Hunter and dude from WV and say this class is just okay. How does Mel Kiper make any money being an analyst?

I agree with Mel.

So, in your mind, all Justin Hunter needs to do to prove your assessment that he is just like Calvin Johnson is to make a single pro bowl? Seems like an odd form of proof. So, every wide receiver that has made a pro bowl is, in your estimation, an athletic "freak" on par with Calvin Johnson? Interesting.

CP is going to be in the hall of fame. He does things that no one has ever done with the ball in his hands. People are a little bit delusional. This may be a mediocre receiver class but that starts after Patterson. Patterson should be a top 5 pick. Can't imagine how anyone could draw a conclusion that Da'rick could hold his jock strap.

A top 5 pick? LMMFAO. Dude can't grasp college football route running. He freestyles. You can't do that **** in the NFL. I loved watching him while he was here, but give me a break. If he ever amounts to a good second option on a team in the NFL, I will be impressed.

Justin Hunter will never be anywhere near the level of Calvin Johnson, not even close.

Kiper is an arrogant, condescending liberal. When anyone challenges him (or his superior draft intellect), he just looks at them and sneers. When he comes on, I switch channels. There is only so much "I'm better than you b/c I'm on tv and you're not" attitude one can take.

I'm not sure WTF being a liberal has to do with evaluating football talent.

I have to agree with him here, there is no Megatron or AJ Green this year. Every wr in the draft has major question marks and/or baggage. The best are Quinton Patton and Da'Rick imo.

And Justin Hunter played his last season like a whimp.

CP will be a beast

I know people don't want to hear it, but Kiper's right. It's a particularly mediocre class of receivers. CP is full of potential but could easily fail to develop if he can't grasp the intricacies of the game. Hunter has been inconsistent about catching the ball. Tavon Austin looks like a very skilled slot receiver and return specialist. Patterson would likely be an early second round guy jn a strong class because he's raw. It is just the truth.

totally agree with u man....cp and hunter both missed so many passes last year it was embarrassing at times...i hope both these guys become all world at the next level because i will always root for my vols no matter what!!.. in the end i think hunter will end up the better receiver because not only does he catch the ball better than cp but he was holding back last year....i dont think he will do that in nfl

Patterson scored 11 on the wonderlic...that's 11 right out of 50 questions. Hunter got just 12, and Tavon Austin got 7.
Wow. Have you ever taken one of those tests? They are online every year, and I am always baffled as to how some of the kids can even tie their shoes with scores like these.

You don't have time to get through all 50 questions unless you are brilliant. I scored a 32 and thought that it was pretty good. 11 or 12 is the level of a moron. I think that Manning scored around 30, give or take a point or two.

I took one last year and also got 32...and I was a terrible college student. I graduated, but just barely. I think my good looks had a lot to do with me passing.
How can a guy that scores a 7 even read the textbook? These guys are borderline literate.
