I remember them all vividly. I'd add our loss to SC in 1992 and our win over Florida in 2004 to the list of improbables.

Tennessee beats Bama 1995 first time since 82
Vandy beats Tennessee 2005 first time since 82
Tennessee beats florida 1998

It was the first time since 1985, not 1982. And while it was a big win for us, I don't think many were surprised UT won.

Tennessee over LSU 1959. "The Stop".

I was going to add this one. Chris prefaced his article by stating that he can't go back any farther than the early- to mid-1970s, but you can't talk about great upsets in the SEC without mentioning this game. No.1-ranked and defending national champion LSU, riding a nineteen-game winning streak and with Heisman Tropy winner Billy Cannon at tailback, comes into Knoxville . . . and meets an inspired bunch of Volunteers who defeat them 14-13 on "the Stop" ( Big Orange Country - Athlon Sports - Google Books).

Remember that win over Auburn in 85 like it was yesterday. One of my all time favorite games.

As do I. I remember UT making Bo look really bad...so bad he left the game not to return. Didn't the SI cover following the game have Tony robinson on the cover and a caption saying "The Tennessee Waltz?"

Memorable SEC upsets - SEC Blog - ESPN

A few more SEC upsets to remember - SEC Blog - ESPN

A lot of good ones here...

LSU v. Tennessee- 2001
Arkansas v. Tennessee-1999
Arkansas v. Tennessee-1992
Alabama v. Tennessee- 1990
Tennessee v. Auburn- 1985

Tennessee was the one upset in all of these (other than 1985)...Anyone remember these days?

I would add the UT/Bama game in 1982 as a big one...I honestly do not look at the 85 Auburn game as a big upset as that auburn team sucked...They were #1 in the country at the time but only won 8 games that year and got demolished by Texas A&M in the cotton bowl.

Some have mentioned the win over Bama in 1995 in Tuscaloosa as an upset. That was no upset by any stretch of the imagination. UT was favored and even the Bama fans knew that it was going to be an absolute beat down that night. Although their record didn't indicate it (they finished 8-4), Bama was horrible that year.
