Rode my bike down Suggs many times as a kid, though the parts further from Poplar went from nice houses to HOLY CRAP houses sometime around the 90s. We would also sometimes walk up to Bennigan's that I think now is Newk's for dinner sometimes. During the summer, our favorite thing to do was soap in the Fogelman Building's (is it still called this?) fountain.
I have fond memories of taking my now wife to Bennigan’s for a Turkey O’Toole.

Non BBQ:

Wife loves Southern Social. Its right across the street from the Commissary in Germantown. Its pricey though. Soul Fish is good too. (Thats more reasonably priced).

Downside about living in Lakeland. Restaurants are lacking out here. Bartlett or Arlington have limited options and the Wolfchase area is chain hell. You get entirely different level of service south of Hwy 64.

Pulling this post from a year ago, but I remember living in Arlington and it was a big deal when McDonalds and Wendy’s came to town. The closest fast food was the Taco Bell in Lakeland.

There’s a few good restaurants in Arlington, Off the Hoof and Vinegar Jim’s come to mind, but I haven’t lived there since 2013. My parents ordered Baby Jacks BBQ last time we were there which was ok.

I just saw this. A friend of mine owned it until the sale about 2 years ago. No idea what it became.
Our son turned us on to finos about 23 years ago while he was at Rhodes
He later moved to STL, and we made it a must-stop venue whenever we were bin Memphis for a concert or our way home
