memphis player slapping a fan

Watch out, Crews might go off on a Memphis fan who acts like that. :)

And then you guys will be on here defending him just like I am defending players from my team. But it will all be ok b/c he was provoked and he is one of UT's players.

that warrants an athlete beating up a spectator? Athletes shouldn't touch a fan for any reason unless said fan is going to hurt someone.

For the last time, no one beat anyone up. It was a shove/slap to the face. Seriously, if Niles had gotten a hold of him and beat him up, that fat a** dude in orange wouldn't be able to walk out of the building.

you might wanna think through that a bit. The n bomb is a different animal altogether. I would generally agree, but one has left spectator status behind when tossing out that type of personal insult.

I posted this same damn thread after the Memphis vs. UAB game and everyone griped at me and said this didn't belong in this forum...

ive heard players called far worse than the n-word at sporting events. MF, stuff about their mothers, children, girlfriends all that stuff.

If you mess with a bull, you get the horns. I could care less if the Memphis players had beaten the UAB imbeciles within an inch of their lives. Act like a fool, you get beat down. It's really simple.

Hey man,
Quick question. Were you at the RHS-WSHS game J.P's sr. year, when the big brawl erupted in the bleachers?

Seriously it wasn't a slap. it was a shove in the face because the guy was spitting on him and calling him n***** and also hit him with a bottle...seriously if that doesn't get at you, you have no cahones...and don't tell me anyone outside of Jesus H. Christ would have doen anything different.

Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, the Dali Lama, etc. By the way, what does the H stand for? extemely disrespectful.

Not gonna say a player hitting a fan is "right" but I don't exactly feel sorry for someone getting a face full for being a dumbass. It is a good life lesson.

Yes I absolutely was. I was right in the middle of where it erupted from and was trying to help protect some of the girls with me from getting hurt. Absolutely nuts.

And seriously I don't like at all that he (Pierre Niles) did that. I don't think it should be done. But it wasn't without severe provocation. remember all this was after UAB fans had been on the floor and shoved Dorsey and other players. You want to say players should be held to a higher standard, then keep the fans off the f****** floor and this kind of stuff won't happen. Where was security when Memphis was headed up the tunnel. They knew what was going on and still weren't there.

if you actually took the time to look at the picture, you would see security right beneath the guy getting the hand in the face.

I'll hold reservation on the n-word since that is just hearsay and speculation at this point.

Was he beaten? No. He got a slap in the face. When will you people realize physically pummelling someone is a helluva lot different than giving them a slap/shove in the face.

You mean the security woman who is trying to get out of the way from doing anyhting. Yeah, she helped a lot.
