Memphis/UCF

Uh....yes it does. The committee doesn’t factor conference championships. It puts the “4 best teams” in the playoff. UCF is NOT one of the 4 best teams.

Let him have his hissy fit. He's so mad at college football that it forces him to keep going to a message board and discussing it. I mean I know I usually spend a lot of time talking about all the things I think are farces.

Maybe Loyola of Chicago shouldn't have been in the NCAA basketball tournament either last year.

Not entirely true, and that is the problem.

JFC......are you comparing a 68 team playoff that has auto conference tie ins with a 4 team playoff? Don't hurt yourself stretching that far buddy.

If putting UCF in at the #4 spot kept the Tide from winning another championship, personnally I'd have no problem with that. It's Bama for crying out loud, the team UT has down as an automatic loss every year before the season even begins.

At this expense of one G5 team getting 15 minutes of fame and fading away, I can handle that if it weakens Alabama.

My guess is, much like the rest of their conference, they aren't very good.
I mean I know that. It was more "how did they go from playing well to getting blown out in the second half?"

didn't know if somebody got hurt or something. pretty big momentum swing

Not sure, other than just being Memphis.

I'm guessing a combination of Memphis not being good combined with UCF making adjustments going into the 2nd half.

And it's over. UCF may not get into the playoffs, but they will get a NY6 bowl, most likely either a return to the Peach or Fiesta bowl. Except for Boise State, no other Group of 5 team has made 3 BCS/NY6 bowls.

No WAAAAAYYYY UCF deserves in the playoff. That was the worst officiated game I've ever seen, or UCF doesn't even beat 8-4 Memphis.

The best UCF can do is focus on the Fiesta or Peach or whichever othet bowl they get and see about getting major bowl win #3. Try to show that last year and the 2013 seasons where not flukes.
