Funny you asked this question.. 1) I bet a lot Volnation posters have run into players but haven't shared due to this type of "back hand" compliment/question.
2) I do not pretend to hold any stature or place, but if your asking how (in this case) a poster see's/meets athletes at a gym... then I can help.
This is how it works, one goes to a gym many times a week and there to for is more likely to meet athletes in training.
Marcus Bagwell, Hulk Hogan, Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, Jerome Bettis, countless UGA players (here in GA).... I have worked out with multiple times. It doesn't seem far fetched to me.....
Im guessing he believed the Jalen Hurd part, but also meeting Eddie George (just so happens to be the guy Hurd is compared to) made him call BS. I will have to say I was thinking the same. Besides why is a freshman football player going to another gym to work out? That would be like running into Marquez North at the Rush.

That reminded me of the 1979 SEC basketball tournament. It was the first year that the tourney had been held in several years. Tennessee under Don Devoe won.Just ran into Butch in the restroom at the local Denny's.
I'm standing at the urinal next to him.
Will post pics asap.
He carries three 45's on him? Are they all loaded? There isn't a week that goes by that I don't see former titans and vols at the gym or the ball fields and they pretty much all walk around speaking to everyone.
You guys wouldn't believe how big Chris Sanders has gotten. Does dips with 3 45's attached to him.

Anyway, I was standing in the restroom shoulder to shoulder at the urinal with Jerry Clower, all dressed up in Miss. State maroon colors. Several people recognized him, which was pretty easy in those days, because of his popularity. He acted pretty much like he did in his recordings. He was having a big time at the tournament. No pictures!
