Meyer fined $30,000!!!

Tell us about the great running backs and receivers that you have. You know, the ones you were discussing all summer.

First off, I don't recall saying anything about how great the backs and receivers were going to be. However our backs do lead the SEC in rushing and are 6th in the nation. I think I previously mentioned UF leads the conference in total offense and scoring offense. Oh, and they are 8-0 and number 1 in the BCS. You might want to go in another direction with your banter.

I think we're pretty comfortable with the direction we're going in.

Passing Offense - #90
Sacks Allowed - #77
Red Zone Offense - #79
Your top back is Demps at #93
Take Tebow's rushing yards out and that would be abysmal as well.

I'll take Peyton Manning over any of your hypeman winners anyday. That award is about as meaningful as the Nobel Peace Prize.

Actually, the Heisman is a good indicator of whether or not a player has been part of a championship team.

Certainly that relationship has held true for Manning, Wuerffel and Tebow.

I'm saying he got out coached 3 times. I'm saying Florida lost to 3 teams that it was better than.

So if UF beat those teams that you say it should have, UF would have been 11-1 and headed to the SECCG with probably the highest ranked team in the country at that point.

All this in spite of having the youngest starters in the SEC and a gaping depth chart courtesy of Ron Zook (and not too dissimilar to what UT is looking at right now).

tvolsfan, I think you are alone in your belief that the 2007 Gator team should have been in contention for the NC except for being outcoached in three games.

You miss the point. Winning the hypeman really doesn't mean anymore than winning American Idol or the Nobel. It's a popularity contest, and really means nothing about a player's talents with regard to other players in college football. Since Keith Jackson retired and Eric Berry is not in the Big 10, he has no chance to win it even though I would take him every day of the week and twice on Sunday in the NFL over St Timothy. But tebow is a leader in college football.. no doubt, and he is CARRYING FU football, so he will probably win it if the gators go beyond the SECCG. Deserved... maybe, but I really couldn't care less.

I didn't say that. I just said they got beaten by 3 teams they should have been able to beat.

Do you count world championships, like the one Peyton has?

Why are Florida and Bama fans arguing on OUR site??? Get a room guys and get outta here!!!!

Saban has done his winning with mostly his own team. CUM won his NC with the Zookers' team. Or did you forget that?

Wow. Meyer wins an NC in his 2nd year at UF and it's Zook's players.

Saban goes 12-2 in his 2nd year and it's "his' players.

You crack me up.

btw - Meyer has won 2 NC's.

Picking and Choosing obscure statistics won't help you any.

Total offense 13th
Rushing offense 6th
Scoring offense 6th
Passing efficiency 9th
First downs 10th
3rd down conversion 16th

Subtract Tebow and you Suck. He will not be around to bail Meyer and UF out next year.

You only say this because no Tennessee player has ever won a Heisman.
