After talking to several sources familiar with the recruitment of Oak Park (Mich.) High five-star, two-way lineman Justin Rogers, I flipped my 247Sports Crystal Ball to Tennessee for the 6-foot-2 1/2, 311-pound hogmollie.
Rogers is taking his official visit to Knoxville this weekend and has always had the Vols in his top three or four. There have been times in this recruitment where Ohio State led and then Georgia, but Jeremy Pruitt and his staff stayed the course, got Rogers to campus many times and the buzz says they're the one to beat heading into this trip.
The industry-generated 247Sports Composite bills Rogers as the No. 1 player in Michigan, the No. 1 offensive guard in the land and No. 23 player overall, but he's being recruited as a defensive tackle as well.
Besides the schools mentioned, Rogers also likes LSU and has made a couple trips to Kentucky as well.
Tennessee is sitting on the nation's No. 25 recruiting class at this point in the process. I also like the Vols chances for the country's No. 4 offensive tackle Tate Ratledge and could be close to forecasting that one to UT as well.
