Rogers has made multiple trips to Tennessee this year and was back in Knoxville this weekend.
“It was fun,” Rogers said of his trip. “I had a good visit with the coaches. Coach Pruitt and I got to sit down and have some one on one time. It was good to reconnect with them.
“This was really to visit with the coaches. Just getting back communicating with them.”
Rogers is from Oak Park, Michigan, which is also where John Kelly is from. Kelly and Rogers have spoke about the Vols on several occasions and the 6-4, 314-pound lineman likes the vision of the program.
“It’s about what they are building,” Rogers said of his Vol interest. “They are building something special. I have talked to John about it. He said it was a good program.”
In addition to visiting with the coaches, Rogers also got to spend some time with some future Vols as he spent time with Wayne Morris and Chris Akporoghene.
In addition to the Vols, Georgia, Alabama and Southern Cal are schools who are on his early radar.
