No, see, you and I and the coaches around the country know this kid isn't signing with UK. So by him committing to them early he's basically throwing out chum in the water for the sharks to push even harder. Because in the minds of Pruitt, Kirby, Dabo, Mullen, Day, Harbaugh, etc they think "No way he signs with Kentucky, let's get him!". Resulting in even more attention for the recruit.

I agree he won't sign with ky and I get the theory, but I just doubt that there is a lack of attention from coaches for the #1 OG in the country. There may be a lack of fan hype, but I can't imagine a worse school to try and generate fan hype by committing.

Any semblance of a chance here? I dont think whoever he commits to is his final destination, but would be neat if he picked the good guys.

Easy to laugh but just a few years ago people would never believe UK could win 8+ games.

Yes, we lost against a terrible UT team, but we won 10 games and beat a solid Penn State team in a bowl game.

Not like we are going to be a powerhouse anytime soon but sometimes things change and it shouldn't be a shock that good players have noticed UK having success. I think it's possible to win 8-10 a year if we consistently develop the way Stoops has the last few years. Allen and Snell were lowly rated out of state recruits, so it gives me hope that we can do well with even better recruits.

That being said...no way Justin signs even if he commits. Too easy for Bama or someone to swoop in with the dollars.

Or are you saying you just buy basketball players and don’t waste the money on football? I agree with the rest of your post, Stoops has done a great job there and you need to try to hang onto him, others will be calling. I’ve always just found it annoying that fanbases quickly make excuses instead of realizing they just got beat. It’s recruiting, everyone loses guys they are after. And a big shock to some, IF the player IS taking money and you have a hat on the table, there is an offer that hat as well otherwise you aren’t a finalist.
