Miami vs Florida

Nice effort for 3 Qtrs. from the young Canes team..they'll be a team to watch in a yr or so...on to Tennessee week..should be a good game next week!

I guess you could say something about UT, but, as usual, it would have no relevance to the topic at hand.

Florida beating Miami by 20 or by 23 has no bearing on whether or not they will get in the national title game. Your coach is just an ass.

My point was that Florida was supposed to win by 21 and they did what they were supposed to do, plus gave their field goal kicker some real time game experience.

Does it make you feel better about your own coach to call other coaches names just for winning and doing their jobs?

I mean seriously.

Meyer may prove to be of use. Him beating Fulmer by 3 points year after year might not be enough to get Fulmer fired. Meyer repeats last year's perfomance and there might be some silver lining to it.

Does it make you feel better to rationalize something as douchy as kicking a FG with 25 seconds to go with a 20 point lead with something as lame as "he was trying to meet expectations"? The idea that a coach would pay any attention to the point spread is is comical.

I can't believe you would rationalize his decision with a statement like that.

That was just kids trying to make a play. It wasn't 42-0.

I'm not buying that load of crap for a seconds. It's not the kids who leave the starters in. It's no the kids who call the plays. Simple fact was, Urban was wanting to run the score up or the very worst get a FG to beat the spread instead of being a true coach and showing some class and just running it or taking a knee

and no it wasn't 42-0 but they were winning by 20 with a minute left and the game was clearly over. It was just a bush league move my Meyer

Let me ask you this. Did you see theose Miami players? Do you think any of them gives a flying f that the Gators kicked a meaningless field goal at the end of the game? Do you think we hurt their feelings? Are they going to quit the game because we were mean to them? Do you think they were humiliated by that?

Of course not.

No one is going to care about that except for fans of rival teams who are just dying for something, anything, that they can grab onto. If you can't root for your own team, lash out at your rival and just make up crap to claim you are classy and they aren't.

If that makes you feel better, okay.

I would have been ok with them trying to score a td because it least then you could possibly say they did it for recruiting or play practicing purposes. Something like that, whatever. But a squeezing in an unnecessary field goal just so the scoreboard looks better by 3 measly points?

I treat my Madden opponents better than that.

I don't know if they were pissed off by it, but when I played and a team did something similar to our team, yeah, it quite frankly pissed me off when the game is obviously over and they're still trying to get points.

and I'm not sure it's meaningless, because like you said, that put the gators above the spread. so don't say it wasn't meaningless

only thing I can figure is he was giving a new and unproven kicker some work...other than that I remember Schnellenburger(sp?) doing the same thing against UF while he coached at UM.

Trust me. They'll remember. You are trying to make this into a rival fan thing, but it's just not.

Apparently Randy Shannon was pissed off. Urban Meyer is a classless douche and everybody knows it. Does it make me feel better about having a mediocre has been of a coach? No. Would I rather have a classless douche that wins over a has been that losses games? Yes. That doesn't change the fact that Meyer is a douche.

On the LSU message board I visit, alot of them are having the same reaction. And they have plenty more to cheer for than Tennessee does.

So there goes that little theory.

Exactly.
