Michael Dyer - now Louisville bound (merged)

What's your opinion of the possibility that Dyer is a Vol?

After reading the article, the question is not about taking Michael Dyer. It is about should Michael Dyer consider UT. I honestly don't think he can handle the Ft Sanders atmosphere and would be better off somewhere like Wake Forest or some other small town school that doesn't have the "pressures."

the problem would be.who would he take down with him?if he could keep his ish in order,i say yes bring him in.but,he would have to understand, that he would be on strike 2 just by coming here.

Is this staff savvy enough to know to grab him? I would like to think they are, but don't know.

It's hilarious that everyone isn't acting that this wouldn't be an impact player for a position of need, especially in the SEC. Dyer behind our O line would be nasty. This is the power run game CBJ has said he wants to run. Dyer fits this mold perfectly.

If Dyer is a head case, then he would fit the CBJ mold imperfectly.

If he truly knows this is his last chance then we absolutely should take him. And I'd definitely take him over Crowell.

If we are able to have a "prenup" on the table from day one, then this could be great. We NEED a quality, explosive RB. That's what Dyer is. Make some clear rules. Kick him off if they're violated. But, oh yes, bring him in and give him six!

Tweet Jones we want Dyer AND Crowell. He has the space, and Crowell could give us a valuable ability to redshirt players like Jabo Lee, Tom Smith, or even Marlin Lane. Hell, after a year sitting the pine, you could use one on Crowell to make sure his head is on straight. I'm not even as concerned with Dyer as I am Crowell.

Even if they don't work out, it shows Butch is serious about winning NOW and changing lives, and if they bust, well, Tennessee gave them their shot. There is not a lose in the situation for UT.
