Seems like an awful lot of hoopla for a freakin kicker...

Some one needs to sit him down, look him square in the eye and say 'Dude...you're a kicker...how bout ya just drop the dang theatrics and announce your school for Christ's sake"

This freakin kicker is prolly one of the top priorities for this yrs. recruiting class...Hes one of the best ones to come out in the last couple of classes...Def. the #1 kicker in this class...Could be a very good pickup

do you not recall the opposing team fielding the ball at the 20 on EVERY kickoff?

Hardly...

1.) A QB
2.) 4-7 O-linemen
3.) 4-5 D-linemen
4.) LB's
5.) Playmakers at WR
6.) DB's
7.) Placekicker

Those may be slightly out of order by I'm certain the placekicker is no higher than 5th on that list...

And to say he's one of the best to come out in a while is a bit of a stretch...considering how hard it is to judge what a kickers got between his ears (which is every bit as important as how far he can kick it)...

Yes...he's still a kicker...I think it was Parcels that (after being told a kicker couldn't 'play' that day) said..."Well he doesn't have to play he just has to kick"

What purpose does it serve to call the other coach first...in front of everyone none the less...it's stupid and childish

dude, if you can't stand to wait 55 more minutes, log off and read about it tomorrow...

I would understand this whining if he was pulling a Bryce Brown and waiting until April...it's July...who cares?

Let him have his fun. Before long he'll be standing all alone under the watchful eyes of 100,000 fans that are ready to assign a hell of a lot of blame over whether or not a piece of leather he strikes with his foot flies between two sticks 50 yards away.

I'm not complaining about the waiting...I'm complaining about the theatrics...from a kicker none the less...

But I agree with kpt...there will come a time when he is under unbelievable pressure to make a kick...so he should have his fun while he can
