So all time here is Oklahoma's record against the SEC. Its pretty good except when it really counted in the CFP when the Sooner's were 0-3. Many of these wins of course came against the old members of the Big 8 and SWC, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Missouri. Also, the sample size against the traditional SEC power teams is very small 2-4 games. With my SEC googles firmly in place I'm gonna say the majority of these Oklahoma matchups and wins came in bowl games, most likely in the Cotton Bowl. So they were going to the Cotton Bowl as SWC Champion against a 3rd place SEC opponent, as our champion was in the Sugar Bowl and second place in the Orange or Citrus. Most recently our Champions and often 2nd place finishers were in the CFP. They are an outstanding program and have a great history of winning. I expect them and Texas to compete on a regular basis for the SEC Championship but what both programs fan bases will have to get their minds around is its going to be way more than a two team race like they're used to.
