Might have a problem

I hope they both get their asses kicked early and often. Even by Bama. Even by UGA. By errybody.

Welcome to the SEC.
This is why we play the games. I hope that the games are close and well played.

Both OU and texus have done well against the SEC over time. OU holds a winning record all time against every SEC team that they have played. texus does as well, with the exception of Miss State where they are tied.

I expect that neither team will win like they did in the Big12/Big8/SWC, but they won't roll over either and will be at the top as often as anyone. At least I hope OU will, I don't care about texus. texus sucks and they can lose every game they play from now on for all I care. Boomer!

OU will be a big test to beat at home. Young QB, young secondary could spell issues right away. You’re going to have some growing pains with the young secondary early on imo; big reason they have brooks starting is you don’t want a younger player making sure everyone is in the right position especially early on especially on the road. Giving up some in athleticism at that position early in the year. Our dline though will be a problem for everyone this season. If Nico gets in a groove it will be hard to match points with us. This game should let us know what we’ve got though at every position.
luckily OU's weakness will be their offense this yr.

Agree, but corner is more of skill position rather than a mental position, therefore I feel that we will be much better off at that position this year.

So all time here is Oklahoma's record against the SEC. Its pretty good except when it really counted in the CFP when the Sooner's were 0-3. Many of these wins of course came against the old members of the Big 8 and SWC, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Missouri. Also, the sample size against the traditional SEC power teams is very small 2-4 games. With my SEC googles firmly in place I'm gonna say the majority of these Oklahoma matchups and wins came in bowl games, most likely in the Cotton Bowl. So they were going to the Cotton Bowl as SWC Champion against a 3rd place SEC opponent, as our champion was in the Sugar Bowl and second place in the Orange or Citrus. Most recently our Champions and often 2nd place finishers were in the CFP. They are an outstanding program and have a great history of winning. I expect them and Texas to compete on a regular basis for the SEC Championship but what both programs fan bases will have to get their minds around is its going to be way more than a two team race like they're used to.
