The number of migrants reaching the UK have hit around 1,600 in the past four days after another 150 on small boats were picked up in the Channel today.

Among those to arrive today, a woman carrying a baby wrapped in a blanket was helped ashore by a Border Force officer, while other children old enough to walk were led up to the Kent quayside.

On a hot and sunny Wednesday, dozens of people were seen arriving in Dover aboard Border Force vessels, while many more were seen arriving in an RNLI lifeboat in Eastbourne.

A six-year-old child was slashed in the throat by a Somali asylum seeker in Rimini, Italy, with four other adult women being stabbed during the rampage, it is alleged.

The 26-year-old man from Somalia was arrested on Saturday evening after wounding five with a knife. He will face charges of attempted murder, assault, and attempted robbery.

One of his victims was a six-year-old boy, who was stabbed in the throat while travelling on a bus with his mother, according to the Il Mattino newspaper.

Greece opens a huge new Holding Camp to House 3,000 Migrants as it prepares for a Wave of Afghan Refugees fleeing the Taliban

Greece has opened a new migrant camp capable of housing 3,000 people as preparations begin for the Afghan refugee scramble from Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

The EU-funded holding camp, which opened on Saturday on the island of Samos, near to Turkey, was the first of five new border control facilities set to open across Greek islands coming months.

Private security forces will patrol the reception and identification centre's perimeter - which is also protected by steel fencing topped with barbed wire.

France to Spend One Billion Euros on Healthcare for Illegal Migrants in 2022

The French government has announced that it will be allocating €1 billion for the healthcare of illegal immigrants in its 2022 budget, a figure that has doubled since 2015.

Minister for Health Olivier Véran stated that over 383,000 migrants benefitted from state medical aid (AME) in 2020. AME includes “common law” support that covers 100 per cent of medical and hospital expenses for migrants living in France for at least three months, Sud Ouest reports. The newspaper noted the budget for next year is double that of 2015.

Denmark and Germany Fly Back 11 ISIS Women and Their Children from Syria

Germany and Denmark have brought back 11 Islamic State women and 37 children from prison camps in Syria, with Denmark arresting three of the women immediately upon their return.

A chartered aeroplane, with U.S. backing, landed shortly before midnight on Wednesday at Frankfurt airport returning eight Islamic State women and their 23 children. The flight continued on to land at Denmark’s Karup Air Base, returning three women and 14 children early Thursday morning.

According to a report from the Danish broadcaster TV2, Central and West Jutland Police immediately took the three women into custody and charged them with promoting terrorist activity.

Twelve Nigerian men and two women were sentenced between two and nine years by a French court for trafficking at least forty women for sex, often using witchcraft and voodoo beliefs to control their victims.

The sex trafficking network is said to have operated between 2014 and 2017, luring 40 young women between the ages of 18 and 30 to the French city of Marseille where they were forced to become prostitutes.

But amid double-digit inflation — the cost of food increased by nearly 30 percent in September — there has been a “considerable decrease” in “acceptance and solidarity” in recent years, according to a report commissioned by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Turkish people have started looking at Syrian refugees as a “scapegoat,” said Kemal Kirisci, a Turkey expert at the Brookings Institution, in an interview. The U.N. refugee agency report, for instance, suggested that more than 80 percent of Turks believe displaced Syrians thrive on government subsidies.

A 31-year-old illegal migrant from the Ivory Coast was badly electrocuted after trying to escape a check by French police by climbing onto the roof of a train.

The incident occurred at the Menton Garavan railway station on Saturday near France’s border with Italy. According to Nice prosecutor Xavier Bonhomme, the man had boarded the train in Italy and climbed onto the roof to avoid police.

While on the roof, the man received a large electric shock and was severely injured, according to a report from the European Union-funded website InfoMigrants.

Boat Migrants Reach Corsica, France for First Time Since 2010

Syrian nationals were picked up off the coast of the French island of Corsica late Tuesday night and into early Wednesday morning after setting off from Turkey to reach Europe.

Six women, two men, and two children were collected off the coast of Corsica along with the captain of their ship, a German national, who had originally set sail from Turkey before his vessel had broken down near the town of Porto-Vecchio.

Moroccan Charged with Raping Woman on Steps of Copenhagen Court

An 18-year-old migrant from Morocco has pleaded not guilty to raping a woman on the steps of the Copenhagen court where he is set to face trial for the alleged attack.

The 18-year-old North African was presented for a preliminary hearing at the Copenhagen magistrates’ court, where he was accused of sexually abusing and raping a woman on the steps of the very same court building.

The Moroccan gave a not guilty plea to the charges, which assert that on October 10th at around 6 a.m. he engaged in sexual activity with a woman against her will, Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet reports.

According to the Danish news website Avisen, the Moroccan is not the only North African in the Copenhagen area to be facing rape charges in recent days.

A 22-year-old Algerian national was also in court in the area of Frederiksberg after being charged with raping a sleeping woman on Tuesday morning. The woman is said to have been unconscious after drinking alcohol and not able to consent to the sexual activity.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that migrants make up as many as one in four of those convicted in rape cases in Denmark, with Syrian nationals accounting for the largest share of sex attackers among them.

Incoming Leftist Coalition Government in Germany to Open Doors to Mass Chain Migration

The incoming German leftist coalition government has vowed to increase immigration to Germany by allowing more migrants to bring family members to the country, a phenomenon known as chain migration.

The coalition plan between the Social Democrats (SPD) led by incoming Chancellor Olaf Sholz, the Free Femocrats (FPD), and the Greens will radically change Germany’s immigration policy, with the coalition parties agreeing to create more legal routes for migration in hopes of deterring illegal migration.
