The talk in Memphis is that Memphis has asked permission to talk to Missouri's Mike Anderson.

Watching a Mike Anderson vs. Bruce Pearl game might be too much fun for me to handle.

What better way to get over the loss of your coach than to hire the coach that completely embarrassed you in your last game?

I can't think of a better candidate that Memphis could realistically get. Except maybe Tim Floyd, but Floyd's system is so boring.

Cal is supposedly meeting with Memphis boosters trying to "push" Barbee as the next coach saying he won't take Witherspoon and Sallie with him if that happens. If this is true, get your bags and get the hell out of Memphis John.

RC should be on a plane right now to Mizzou.

I think everyone here knows I like, and think very highly of, John. That said, if he's trying to extort Memphis into hiring Tony, that's utterly reprehensible. That sounds like some local media are getting some pop by angering the fan base. I find those reports hard to believe.

If the reports of taking Sallie and Witherspoon if Barbee isn't hired are true, then John Calipari is a bigger scumbag than I originally thought. That would leave the Memphis program in shambles. That's not something that he should do.

Mike Anderson would have waited for the season to ended to take the Alabama job before Memphis.

I don't see where the Anderson connection to Memphis comes from.

I would think Anderson would be in line for the Arkansas job when that opens after they fire Pelphrey.

Just don't see Anderson coming back to C-USA - but what do I know - I obviously thought Cal had a 0% chance to land at UK.
