Mike Anderson to Memphis/Memphis fans would turn their noses up (merged)

All of the talk among adult Tiger fans around here is that Mike Anderson would be a great choice.

Also, RC Johnson has scheduled a presser for noon tomorrow (Central) to discuss the "future of the basketball program."

What morons. Seriously. He's one of the best 'up and coming' coaches around, was taught by one of the best, helped recruit ridiculous players to Arkansas and they'd say he wasn't good enough. Not to mention he just whooped their collective ace in the sweet 16.

You dont have a clue about what your talking about , CMA would be my #1 choice as a Memphis fan . Come on Dickens you dont know what most Memphis fans want . I will guarantee you one thing we dont want , CBP.

He doesn't want you either. Doesn't that make you feel pretty bad? Can't get an above average coach from a football school?

Memphis would be doing great to get somebody like Bruce Pearl. No offense but Memphis basketball is on its way back to being very sub par. Enjoy the ride!!

I have to agree. While the facilities are amazing, and it is a hotbed for recruiting, I don't think a high-caliber coach will want to coach for a team in the C-USA. But that's my opinion.

You're right. Being in CUSA is a severe handicap.

So you're saying having the best facilities in the nation, winning the conference every year, securing a top 2 seed in the NCAA's every year, and being paid just as high, if not higher, than coaches in BCS conferences is a handicap? CUSA may lack the prestige of power conferences, but MEMPHIS (no other CUSA school) seems like a pretty good deal to me. If that's a handicap someone get me a wheelchair.

Where does something like this come from.
