Heupel calls the plays. Again we’ve left a ton of points on the field this year.
We have left a lot on the field, however, I don't necessarily blame Heupel for that. Execution is shaky at best sometimes. I do think we get too conservative at times. Tomorrow is not one of the times we need to do that.

Banks would’ve been fired way before this year if half these chuckle heads had anything to do with it.
Honestly since he has been here, the defense has never been the real issue. I don't understand that. Last year the defense won more than they lost, this year, they've kept us in every single game and came up big when they needed to. 2022, they had a couple bad games but also played some damn solid games as well.

We tend to waste series at times to burn time.
I will agree with that. However, I think that plays to the defense and special teams more than bad offensive scheming. Punter is a weapon as crazy as it sounds and the defense does what it has to do. It's not a sexy brand of ball but long as we win I'll be the skinniest kid at fat camp lol

Martinez and Banks just got the players in place that they needed this year. I knew we would be dramatically better this season in secondary, said that before season started. I couldn’t have imagined the secondary would play to the level it has. Gibson, Carter, McCoy, all those guys are very young players; Will Brooks a walk on has been a stud as well, always in the right place at the right time it seems. Everyone knew the Dline would be ridiculous this year.

Love me some Will Brooks! Honestly as bad as the secondary has been, it was going to be hard not to see an improvement this year with the turnover we had. It is literally night and day difference with that group. I honestly look forward to watching the defense play more than I do the offense these days, not a knock on the offense, just the defense out here hunting heads

I do want to say this though, if you look at TOP over the last few games since Arkansas. Arkansas had a great game plan and tried to make us make the most out of every possession we had. We couldn't, they had the advantage there. Since that game, the TOP has not been near as lopsided. It was lopsided because we were taking 2 minutes to score. We eat clock and score, or we eat clock and flip the field. I'm alright with it.

Bobo is one of if not the worst OC in the SEC , He will be calling plays against our vaunted Defense ! Huge advantage Tennessee !! ( Thank you coach Tim Banks , coach Rodney Garner and the rest of our defensive staff ) GO Vols !!

Didn’t he win two natties as an OC?

Jeeez. Line em up and play. That’s all we can do. We know nothing until then and when there’s no time left on the clock.

I'm in Georgia. I have to say OP's thoughts are on the forefront on UGA fans minds. They can't stand Bobo. Remember, he came in AFTER UGA won back to back.
Me too, tbey hate Bobo here😆

I would honestly be more worried about the other side of the ball. I have said it and I'll continue to say it, defense and run game travels. I'm more worried about our offense giving them more opportunities than the Vols defense. Pick six either way changes this game, it could change any game but this game is going to be close. It could be the difference in winning or losing, honestly. I don't care the yardage we put up, I care about TOP and TOs this game. We control those two things, I think this game is our's for the taking
Cool. My sole point is Bobo might not be the Boo-Boo some of our faithful think he is. Nothing more, and nothing less.

UGA Fans could be groaning by mid second quarter if our D stymies their O.

Could this be a game reminiscent to the Vols visiting Baton Rouge where the stadium was virtually empty (except Vol fans) by mid 3rd quarter? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm???
Big difference there was time of day. Corn doggers didn’t have time to get adequately inebriated.
Athens at night is a different animal entirely. Thankfully Ainge kept his mouth shut about the noise level this time around 😳
But a win tonight would give this team two HUGE accomplishments needed to be a championship team. Wins against all of the big rivals in one season and a nighttime road win against one of those rivals.
Those are the last boxes to be checked before we can say we are all the way back.
I am cautiously optimistic.

And yet Ga beat Texas and Clemson, I'd hold off on the gloating until we beat Ga.
And TX gave them 4 TO’s. UGA started multiple possessions inside the TX 35 yard line. I swear everyone sees it was 23-0 at the half and thinks UGA was unstoppable when in fact TX pissed their own leg for a half. When they stopped doing that, they outscored UGA 15-7 in the 2nd half.

Let's be real not all rankings are equal. Do you think Indiana is really the #5 best team in the country?
You can clearly tell who gets their "thoughts" from tv and internet!!
The amount of regurgitated bullsh!t is unreal.
Indiana is decent but #5?? Hell no
Same with the pretenders in Austin.
Still not sold on Ohio State either
Uga is better (even being down) than all 3 of those.
And Bama would prolly beat them too

Me too. Am actually thinking about betting on the game. We still getting 9 points.

Every game has a story. Everything you said also goes for the Bama/UGA game, just in reverse. UGA outscored Bama 27-12 in the second half, and (unlike Texas) took the lead.

Texas did have 4 turnovers, but one was a fourth down sack fumble returned for like 2 yards, so the score sheet doesn’t tell the whole story. UGA was +1 in turnovers that game, and one of Texas’s 2 TD drives was 9 yards. UGA was -3 in turnovers against Bama.

Bobo isn’t Monken, but i don’t think UGA’s problems are schematic. It’s mostly OL—Beck has been throwing em up for grabs under pressure. That scares me a lot more than Bobo calling plays.

Don’t disagree on the each game has its story and yes UGA pissed their leg for 30 min vs Bama. As you said UGA gave TX the ball plenty of times but TX didn’t capitalize enough. My only real point was UGA didn’t dominate them and both offenses struggled to do much of anything when not given decent field position. Both teams had sub 300 yards of offense. That game was typical of many of UGA’s SEC games this year; ugly and laborious. If anything, he showed me TX is what they’ve been for the better part of 20 years, immensely talented and still choke in any game of significance.

I’ve seen nothing to indicate this team is capable of getting off to a start like that. If we win, we will have to grind it out

Ugly and laborious is right, brother.
